MLB Same-Game Parlay Today: Cardinals vs Reds (+525)

We're back with another MLB same-game parlay, this time for a Monday, May 27 matchup between the Cardinals and Reds. First pitch is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. ET.

Here's my MLB same-game parlay for this afternoon showdown, where I analyze three parlay legs:

Cardinals vs Reds Same-Game Parlay: May 27

The Game: Cardinals vs Reds - 4:10 p.m. ET

BetOdds
Nick Lodolo OVER 5.5 Strikeouts-125
Reds Moneyline-135
Spencer Steer OVER 1.5 Total Bases+100
Overall+525

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Lodolo OVER 5.5 Strikeouts

Reds lefty Nick Lodolo returns from the IL and slides into a favorable matchup vs the Cardinals. Not only has Lodolo crushed his strikeout OVER in five of six starts this year, but he also possesses and immense platoon edge Monday.

The Cardinals are arguably baseball's worst club against southpaw pitchers. St. Louis' .202 BA vs LHPs is 30th in MLB, and the club's .600 OPS is better only than the Chicago White Sox. Tough comparison.

Lodolo should have his way with this lineup, meaning few hits and at least six strikeouts.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Reds ML

Cincinnati's pitching has never been the issue, and the club's three-game win streak came from timely hitting from key players. Elly De La Cruz is not one of those guys, as the Dominican star owns a .553 OPS over the last week.

Instead, Spencer Steer has stepped up, socking two homers in his last five contests. Jeimer Candelario is slowly heating up, too, boasting a .960 OPS over the last week.

The Cardinals are a mess this year, and Cincy's combo of astute pitching and hot offense should be enough to get the job done Monday.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Steer OVER 1.5 Total Bases

I just mentioned Steer, and I'll add him to our parlay, largely as an odds sweetener. Make no mistake, though, he's the Reds guy you want for a prop bet right now. The 26-year-old has radically improved his plate discipline this season, sporting a more reasonable 29:37 BB-K ratio.

Steer's approach is noticeably improved at the dish, and he has five hits in his last five games, including two homers and two doubles. When he connects, the ball goes a long way, and that's perfect for our OVER 1.5 total bases play.
