YRFI/NRFI Picks For April 26: Yanks Will Stymie Brew Crew

We are back with some YRFI/NRFI picks (Yes/No Run First Inning) for Friday, April 26. There's hardly a bet for fun in MLB than the YRFI/NRFI, so let's dive into it:

Pick 1: Dodgers vs Blue Jays Yes Run First Inning (-130)

Matchup Preview - Game Time: 7:07 pm ET

The Dodgers are 10th in MLB with a 15-12 YRFI record, impressively scoring a first-inning run in 14 of their 27 games this year. That's excellent, as Los Angeles positions itself to be the first club to break Chris Bassitt's scoreless first-inning streak this year.

The Dodgers aren't unbreakable either, though. L.A.'s starter Gavin Stone owns a 9.00 ERA in the first inning, allowing four runs and four walks in four starts. If the Dodgers don't get on the board in the top half, Toronto will get it done in the bottom half.

Pick 2: Yankees vs Brewers No Run First Inning (-115)

Matchup Preview - Game Time: 8:10 pm ET

As I've mentioned before in these articles, the Yanks are baseball's best NRFI squad (18-8). The Crew is closer to the middle (12-12 NRFI), but some key numbers lead me to the no-runs bet.

Luis Gil has been dominant in the first inning this year. The Yankees righty has yet to allow a first-inning run through four starts. Colin Rea has also been solid in the first inning, posting a 2.25 ERA while allowing just two runs in four starts.
