  • The Philadelphia 76ers will return to the friendly confines of the Wells Fargo Center to host the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of their second-round series. The Sixers dropped back-to-back games for the first time since the end of February and were stunned by the undermanned Celtics in Beantown. Philly is 10-1 SU in their last 11 games at home and opened as 9-point favorites to get the victory.

    The Sixers were the hottest team in the league going into the second-round, winning 20 of their last 23 games and putting the league on notice that “the process” may have been complete. But two games in Boston have exploited some of the shortcomings of superstar Ben Simmons, who has only managed 19 points through two games including a glaring 1-point effort in Game 2.

    One major concern for Philadelphia has been their regression from the three-point line in this series as they’ve only managed to shoot 18 for 59 (30 percent) from deep. If the Sixers can’t find their shooting stroke and Simmons disappears again, it could be an early exit for the young guns from the City of Brotherly Love.

    The Celtics must feel confident going into Game 3 after controlling the first two games. Point guard Terry Rozier has had a coming-out party in these playoffs as Rozier is averaging 17 points and six assists in the postseason including shooting 11 for 18 from three-point range in this series.
