Dallas Mavericks Vs. San Antonio Spurs
The Game: Dallas Mavericks vs. San Antonio Spurs, 8 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Dallas Mavericks | -9 (-108) | -360 | O 233.5 (-110) |
San Antonio Spurs | +9 (-112) | +290 | U 233.5 (-110) |
Pick: San Antonio Spurs ATS +9
The Dallas Mavericks emerged with a 116-93 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Valentine's Day at the American Airlines Center, but the Spurs will have home-court advantage this time around with the hope of stringing together consecutive wins for the first time since March 3.
Dallas is a perfect 6-0 ATS over its last six games, while San Antonio has also successfully covered in seven of its last 10. Up 3-0 in the season series, the lone time the Mavericks didn't win by enough points to cover the nine-point spread was the initial meeting on Oct. 25 in the season opener at the Frost Bank Center.
The Spurs are 6-3 ATS over their last nine outings played in March, while going 4-2 ATS in games played on a Tuesday. Any less and the tides would likely turn in favor of Dallas, but nine points as wiggle room has this pick leaning towards San Antonio.
New Orleans Pelicans Vs. Brooklyn Nets
The Game: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Brooklyn Nets, 7:30 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
New Orleans Pelicans | -7.5 (-108) | -295 | O 216.5 (-108) |
Brooklyn Nets | +7.5 (-112) | +240 | U 216.5 (-112) |
Pick: New Orleans Pelicans ML
It's not a sexy nor profitable pick siding with the New Orleans Pelicans, but surprisingly enough, -295 odds as a favorite on the moneyline is the second-strongest of the entire slate.
New Orleans owns a 15-5 record SU since Jan. 31, and now trails the Los Angeles Clippers by just a single game for possible home-court advantage in the opening round of the playoffs.
Squaring off against a Brooklyn Nets team that's dropped three in a row SU and five of their last six, there's little reason to think the Pelicans will get caught off guard as they kick off a four-game road trip against Eastern Conference opposition.
Houston Rockets Vs. Washington Wizards
The Game: Houston Rockets vs. Washington Wizards, 7 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Houston Rockets | -9.5 (-108) | -390 | O 227.5 (-110) |
Washington Wizards | +9.5 (-112) | +310 | U 227.5 (-110) |
Pick: OVER 227.5 Total Points
We'd usually steer clear of bets pertaining to a pair of teams on the outside looking in, but with just five games on the schedule, an OVER/UNDER prop is perfectly acceptable.
The Houston Rockets have hit the OVER in four of their last six games, as well as OVER in seven of the Washington Wizards' last 10 games.
The absence of Alperen Sengun hasn't hindered the Rockets' offense too much either, as they're in the midst of a five-game winning streak SU while ranking fifth overall in points per game at 118 points.
