Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Boston Celtics ATS
Miami has appeared a shell of itself during its four-game losing skid, averaging a league-worst 101.8 points per 100 possessions while scoring fewer than 100 points on three occasions. To make matters worse, three of those four losses came at the hands of teams with records in the bottom-third of the league (Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors, and Memphis Grizzlies).
Playing the team with the best overall record in the Celtics when attempting to right the ship isn't a recipe for success. We're taking the spread here as opposed to the moneyline for greater potential gains, on top of the fact that the Heat have have failed to cover in each of their last six games.
An eight-point margin is heavy, but Boston has covered that in eight of its last nine wins.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Jaylen Brown OVER 20 Points
Jaylen Brown is essentially a coin flip with his scoring. He'll drop 13 points in consecutive games like did against the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets, and then follow up that up with a 34-point outburst like his most recent performance against the Dallas Mavericks.
The two-time All-Star is averaging 23.4 points on 50.5 FG% in 33 minutes for the month of January, and did drop 27 on the Heat in Boston's second game of the season on Oct. 27.
Miami's defense still ranks fifth this month despite its offensive shortcomings, so putting up big scoring numbers won't be a walk in the park for Brown. Every matchup is a statement game after the Heat eliminated Boston in last year's conference finals, though, so let's roll the dice and bank on big numbers from Brown in this affair at the Kaseya Center.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Bam Adebayo OVER 4.5 Assists
The Heat only rank 19th in assists per game at 25.6, and just parted with one of their leading floor generals in Kyle Lowry.
Bam Adebayo's reputation is more so for being an elite defender rather than a playmaker, but his personal assist numbers have seen a noticeable uptick (4.4, highest in three years) to the point where opposing sides need to put more respect on his facilitating.
He's registered four or more assists in each game since Jan. 8, and is averaging 6.3 dimes over his last three outings.
