The Lakers took the first two meetings of the season with the Clippers, both of which were extremely competitive as the first went to overtime and the second was determined by three measly points.
LeBron James won't be available on Tuesday, unfortunately, as he's dealing with an ankle injury. The Lakers are 2-2 this season when James is unable to compete, although their two victories came against the two worst teams in the Western Conference (Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs).
Considering how hot the Clippers have been, winning 10 of their last 12 games SU, it's hard to imagine the Lakers being able to overcome James' absence and mustering up enough firepower to withstand what will likely be thrown their way on Tuesday.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Anthony Davis To Score 25+ Points
The Lakers' offense has to come from somewhere, so that means even more of a spotlight on Anthony Davis when he battles a Clippers frontcourt missing Ivica Zubac as he continues to sit with a calf injury.
Davis is averaging 28.3 points on 21 shot attempts in 39.2 minutes across the four games James has sat. He's also scored at least 25 points in three of his last four games, with the lone exception coming in a blowout over Portland on Jan. 21.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: James Harden To Record 8+ Assists
This game could get ugly really quick, and if the Clippers decide to run it up on a depleted Lakers, that could lead to more transition opportunities for James Harden to pad his assist numbers.
Harden ranks sixth in the Association in assists per game with 8.5 and hasn't finished with fewer than eight dimes since Dec. 21 when he notched six against the Sacramento Kings.
