NBA Playoffs 2024 Same-Game Parlay: Thunder vs. Pelicans Game 4

The New Orleans Pelicans' postseason is on life support trailing 0-3 in their best-of-seven series to the No. 1-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder. They'll look to force the gentleman's sweep and potentially more, beginning with Game 4 at the Smoothie King Center on Monday night.

Let's put together a same-game parlay and win some money.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Oklahoma City Thunder ATS -4.5

Oddsmakers are throwing a bone to the Pelicans with these narrow spreads, considering Oklahoma City took Game 2 by 32 points as the 7.5-point favorites and then Game 3 by 21 points with a 1.5-point spread. The number dropped for the previous encounter with the series moving to New Orleans, but now that we've witnessed what the Thunder are capable of on the road, and the output the Pelicans produced against that defense, it's hard to comprehend why a 4.5-point spread makes any sense.

That's through no fault of bettors, though, so it's time to capitalize. For further context, Oklahoma City went 11-3 SU during the regular season when favored by that much away from the Paycom Center, but just 7-7 ATS. However, five of those losses against the spread came when favored by double digits, which is never easy to cover even against the weakest of competition.

A narrow two-point win in Game 1 was the wakeup call the Thunder needed after having a week off of action as the Pelicans had to battle their way through the play-in tournament. Oklahoma City has since won the last two games by an average margin of 26.5 points, and with no team having never overcome an 0-3 deficit in league history, we'll see how much fight New Orleans has left as the inferior squad later tonight.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Josh Giddey OVER 11.5 Points

Following disappointing returns in Game 1 in which he finished with just two points on six shots across 19 minutes, Josh Giddy has gotten into a groove offensively and been a key contributor over these last two Thunder victories.

Giddey is averaging 17 points on 54.5 percent shooting since then, punctuated by a 21-point, eight-rebound, six-assist effort in Game 3. His playing time has also steadily risen from the aforementioned 19 minutes to 25 and then 31 on Saturday, as well.

This rise in quality leads us to believe that another quality box score is in store for Giddy in Game 4. He's exceeded the 11.5-point mark over his last two appearances, and should keep his hot streak going to do so yet again.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Chet Holmgren To Record 3+ Blocks

Chet Holmgren has never finished a game against the Pelicans with fewer than two rejections across six total matchups, and is currently averaging 3.6 blocks in this series.

In fact, Holmgren has more total blocks with 11 than New Orleans' entire roster does with 10.

To complete this leg of the same-game parlay, the 7-footer will need to register at least three, which Holmgren accomplished in Games 1 and 3 with five and four, respectively. He can swat away that in his sleep as one of the game's elite rim protectors. Two blocks is safer, but three is where the money sees an uptick.
