The only real question mark around the Ducks this season is their defense. A solid core of returning players plus some nice additions in the transfer portal could lead to a step forward on defense in 2023, which is what backers may need to see this Saturday for Oregon to cover the spread on the road.

Last week’s loss to Wyoming took a lot of wind out of this Texas Tech team’s sails. The Red Raiders finished last year on a 4-0 SU and ATS run that included three outright upsets, and the schedule shaped up nicely for a big year with three of their four games against ranked opponents coming at home. Now Texas Tech will need to pull off an upset to avoid falling into an early 0-2 SU and ATS hole.

To put themselves in line for that upset win, the Red Raiders will need to be aggressive on offense for all 60 minutes of this one. It’s unrealistic to ask this defense to stop an offensive juggernaut like the one the Ducks have, so Tyler Shough and the offense are going to need to try to win this one in a shootout.
