  • The Tennessee Titans (3-7 SU, 4-6 ATS) and Carolina Panthers (1-9, 2-7-1) will both try to snap three-game losing streaks on Sunday when they meet in Nashville.

    The Titans are listed as small home favorites and have lost each of their past three games on the road, winning their last at home in the first career start for rookie quarterback Will Levis. The Panthers are winless on the road so far this season at 0-5 SU with a 1-4 ATS mark. 

    Latest Betting Notes: Panthers

    Carolina did not score an offensive touchdown in its last game away from home, a 16-13 loss to the Chicago Bears in the Week 10 Thursday Night Football matchup. The Panthers still managed to cover the spread as 3.5-point road underdogs in that one but then scored only one touchdown last week at home in another loss, this time 33-10 to the Dallas Cowboys as 11-point dogs.

    In fact, they have scored just one touchdown in each of their last four games since their bye, with all four going UNDER the total, although one resulted in a surprising 15-13 victory. The UNDER is also 7-3 for Carolina overall this year.

    Latest Betting Notes: Titans

    After an impressive debut for Tennessee, Levis has had trouble leading touchdown drives for the team, which is one of the main reasons the team is riding a skid right now. The second-round draft pick out of Kentucky threw four touchdown passes in a 28-23 upset of the Atlanta Falcons on October 29.

    The Titans were 2.5-point underdogs in that game, and since then Levis has totaled just two touchdowns in the last three combined, with both coming Sunday in a 34-14 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He did post the highest passer rating of his young career in that one too, completing 13-of-17 for a season-low 158 yards. It is worth noting that the two touchdowns came after Tennessee trailed 27-0.

    The Keys to Victory: Panthers

    Will this finally be the week Carolina’s offense breaks out and scores more than one touchdown? Maybe against a Tennessee defense that just surrendered four touchdowns to Jacksonville, although the team’s previous two opponents were both held to 20 points.

    Regardless, the Panthers have to do something differently in an effort to get off the schneid, even if that means running the ball more. Their best shot to cover and possibly win a second game is to have running backs Miles Sanders and Chuba Hubbard get more carries.

    The duo totaled 107 rushing yards on 21 carries against the Cowboys, who had the exact number of yards by a total of six different players. That is at least a positive.

    The Keys to Victory: Titans

    Tennessee’s recent struggles have been on the offensive side of the ball as well, with the team averaging 12 points during its losing streak. The UNDER is 6-2 in the past eight games for the Titans and 7-3 for the season like the Panthers, making one wonder where the points will come from between these two teams.

    The UNDER is 11-3 in Tennessee’s last 14 games vs. teams with losing records, and this definitely qualifies as that. One of the keys will be how Levis plays back at home in front of his own fans, maybe using it as motivation that he will be opposed Bryce Young, the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
