  • Dallas Cowboys vs Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview

    The Dallas Cowboys (2-0) are huge road favorites heading into Week 3 of the season vs. the Arizona Cardinals (0-2). The spread opened at 9.5 but has since climbed as high as 12. And why wouldn’t it be that big. The Cowboys have scored 70 points in two games, the highest total in the league, and have allowed just 10, which is the fewest. But if history is any indication, the Cards may be the play as they have won six of the last seven head-to-head meetings outright. The total opened at 42.5 but is also on the rise. The UNDER is 5-0 in the last five contests between these two teams.


    Latest Betting Notes: Cowboys

    New York football fans are happy the Cowboys are moving on.;.at least for now. Dak Prescott and company delivered a pair of blowout wins over both the Giants and Jets to start the season. The Cowboys’ quarterback is coming off a solid performance vs. the Jets in which he threw for 255 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dak has also yet to turn the ball over. But it’s Micah Parsons and the defense that everybody is talking about. Not only have they given up the fewest points, they also lead the league in yards allowed (193 per game), sacks (10) and turnovers (7). Dallas, who began the season at +1200 to win the Super Bowl, is now listed at +750.


    Latest Betting Notes: Cardinals

    To say things look bleak for Arizona is a major understatement. They have lost nine consecutive games dating back to 2022 after blowing second half leads in both their games this season. They gave up a fourth quarter lead in a loss to the Commanders in Week 1, before blowing a 21-point advantage to the Giants last week.  Quarterback Joshua Dobbs cleaned things up a bit vs. New York after fumbling the ball three times in the season opener. He passed for 228 yards and a touchdown vs. the G-Men. But their offensive attack is being led by running back James Conner, who is averaging 84 rushing yards per game. That’s the sixth most in the league.


    Keys To Victory: Cowboys

    The running game. There was a lot of pressure on Tony Pollard at the start of the season after the team walked away from Ezekiel Elliott. But he has delivered, averaging over 95 all-purpose yards per game with a pair of touchdowns. As for the Cardinals rush defense, they are giving up just under 110 yards per game this season. Parsons could be the game changer for Dallas. He appears to be a man on a mission with three sacks and a forced fumble through two games. If he can pressure Dobbs into making mistakes, the Cowboys should not only win the game, but cover the spread as well.   

    Keys To Victory: Cardinals

    Win the turnover battle. You don’t often see a team that is 0-2 be near the top of the league in turnover differential, but that is the case with the Cardinals. They have forced four turnovers already and are a +2 in that category this season. Arizona can ill afford to make any mistakes if they want to win this game. The Cardinals will likely lean heavily on Conner as well. He already has 37 rush attempts this season, which is tied for the fourth most. Feeding him the ball and controlling the clock may be key if they want to pull off the upset.
