NHL Expert Picks February 12

Expert Picks for Feb. 12: Flames Continue Excellent Road Trip

My NHL expert picks for tonight's games on February 12th will focus on the tight Metropolitan Division with picks in three games featuring teams from the division.

Here are three moneyline, puckline, and totals picks for tonight's games.

Game 1: Flames vs Rangers
The Game: Calgary Flames vs New York Rangers, 7 PM ET

TeamPucklineTotalMoneyline
Flames+1.5 (-192)O6 (-112)+130
Rangers-1.5 (+160)U6 (-108)-155

Pick: Flames +1.5 (-192)

The Flames have gone off in their swing out East winning four of the five games on that road trip so far. And they've covered a +1.5 spread eight times in their last 10. All they need to do tonight is keep the Rangers within a single goal or win outright.

New York is a good team, but they've had their struggles. Against a -1.5 spread at home, they're 3-7 in their last 10.

The Flames are rested and have seemingly found a new gear. I like them to cover as dogs tonight.

Game 2: Kraken vs Devils
The Game: Seattle Kraken vs New Jersey Devils, 7 PM ET

TeamPucklineTotalMoneyline
Kraken+1.5 (-205)O6.5 (-102)+120
Devils-1.5 (+170)U6.5 (-118)-142

Pick: O6.5 (-102)

For this pick, I don't really care that the Kraken have kept the UNDER in three straight games. Because the Devils are an OVERs machine.

On the year New Jerseys is 17-8 (68%) against the OVER on home ice. They've also seen the score go OVER six goals in their last four home games. It's a goal-fest when games are played at the Rock, I'm betting that continues today.

Game 3: Coyotes vs Flyers
The Game: Arizona Coyotes vs Philadelphia Flyers, 7 PM ET

TeamPucklineTotalMoneyline
Coyotes+1.5 (-198)O5.5 (-122)+124
Flyers-1.5 (+164)U5.5 (+102)-148

Pick: Flyers ML (-148)

When I think of the Coyotes right now I think of Tom Petty, cause the 'Yotes are "free falling". They're winless in their last six road games with a -12 goal differential in those six games.

Philly has won back-to-back home games including a 4-1 drubbing over an excellent Winnipeg Jets side. Considering how steep the Yotes are sliding, I believe a hard-working Torts side wins this one.
