Both teams have been poor in the context of this game. Seattle is on a five-game home losing streak while the Sabres have lost their last three road games.
But the Sabres have at least tasted victory of late with three wins over their last four games (all three at home of course). And against good teams as well. A hard-fought 3-2 win over the Oilers, thrashing the Red Wings 7-3 and then blanking the Islanders 4-0.
The Kraken could still be without number one d-man Vince Dunn. There hasn't been an update at the time of writing, but he's been out for the last five games. Without him, the Kraken lose a big piece of their transition game and will struggle even more against the younger faster Sabres.
