Pick 1: Washington Capitals ML

The Pittsburgh Penguins suck on the road. This year they are 12-18SU and in their last 10, that record is 2-8SU. Meanwhile, Washington has gone 6-4SU at home in their last 10. Not to forget that Washington has been better than that already good record shows.

In those 10 home games, the Caps hold a 56 xGF% at 5on5. That's the sixth-best in the league. The Pens are 20th (for away teams) at 48%. The Penguins haven't been playing well per their record and after looking under the hood at their underlying numbers. The Caps, meanwhile, have been.

Pick 2: Crosby O3.5 Shots

In 69 career games against the Caps, Crosby has averaged 3.4 shots on net. Not enough to go over the total of 3.5 shots. But look, on the year, Crosby is putting 3.6 shots on net and in his last eight games that average is up to 4.0 shots.

Crosby accounts for 11% of all shots by the Penguins. That's the biggest shot share on the team by a healthy margin. They count on him for a lot and getting pucks on net is clearly one of them.

Pick 3: Overhckin O3.5 Shots

Ovie has made a career of peppering the net with rubber. With 6,558 shots in 1,404 games, he's averaged 4.7 per game in his career. This year he's only averaged 3.6 per game, which is enough to hit our prop.

Just to make sure the bet is right, Ovie has O3.5 SOG in five of his last seven games. In 74 career games against the Penguins, he's averaging 4.7 shots per game. He hits his prop tonight.
