John Carlson #74 of the Washington Capitals is checked by Jordan Staal #11 of the Carolina Hurricanes in the third period in Game Two of the Eastern Conference First Round during the 2019 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at Capital One Arena on April 13, 2019 in Washington, DC.

Capitals Have Won Five Straight at PNC Arena

After losing all four regular-season meetings with the Washington Capitals, the Carolina Hurricanes’ struggles with the Capitals continued in the first two games of their first-round playoff series. Down 2-0, the Hurricanes head back to Raleigh looking to stop the bleeding in Game 3 tonight. Sportsbooks opened the Hurricanes as -130 home favorites with a total of 6.

My best bet for Capitals-Hurricanes

Hurricanes moneyline

This series has been closer than the score might suggest, as Carolina has been in each game so far. While I don’t think the Hurricanes will win the series, I’m also not expecting Carolina to get swept and I think they’ll take tonight’s contest in front of their hometown fans. Give me the ’Canes as home faves.
