Who Will Become Next Jeopardy! Host? Odds Favor Ken Jennings

The world is mourning the great Alex Trebek. Trebek was the host of the TV game show Jeopardy! for 37 seasons and was adored by fans around the globe. Following a nearly two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, Trebek died on November 8 at the age of 80.

Which Person Provides The Best Value?
The name on this board that I think offers the best odds to become the next Jeopardy! host is Neil Patrick Harris. The actor is no stranger to the television medium. He has starred in shows since he was a child in Doogie Howser, M.D. and then later on in life with How I Met Your Mother.
It might be a strange option but at +2500 odds to be the next Jeopardy! host, I think it’s something worth exploring. Harris has hosted the Tony Awards three times, the Primetime Emmys twice and the Oscars once. So it would seem that the natural next step would be to host a game show.
He has the charisma and the personality to do the job extremely well. Just as Trebek would usually talk to his guests and fans and answer questions about himself, Harris is beloved by many and would be a natural fit. Those would be tough shoes to fill for anyone trying to replace the legend that is Alex Trebek, but if there is one person who could do it with grace and style, it’s Harris.
Who Should Replace Trebek?
Ken Jennings holds the record for the longest winning streak on Jeopardy! with 74 wins, so it would make sense for fans of the show to see someone who has had success on the program. He is the top person on the board to be the next Jeopardy! host at +100. However, I think the network will go with a more household name and that’s why I think they will go with either LeVar Burton at +200 or Neil deGrasse Tyson at odds of +1400 as the best options to become the next host.
Burton has become a favorite to take over, as more than 90,000 fans have actually petitioned to see the host of the Reading Rainbow step in and be the next host. For people who aren’t aware, Reading Rainbow was an educational show for kids for 21 seasons.
Even if nothing comes from it, I can’t tell how much how I appreciate all y’alls love and support!

Burton would make for an excellent choice, since he helped inspire and shape the minds of several generations. He has been out of the entertainment world for some time, but it would make for a terrific comeback and whet the appetites of fans of the show.
DeGrasse Tyson is an American astrophysicist, planetary scientist, author and science communicator, and I think he not only has the ability to host a game show but also would be able to inject humor into the show, something Trebek was well known for.
And now, one last clue:

“Who was Alex Trebek (1940-2020) ?”Farewell, patron saint of geeks. Jeopardy host since 1984 pic.twitter.com/RECC5zvFDN

DeGrasse Tyson was a big fan of the game show and has hosted a few television programs in the past, including Cosmos: Possible Worlds and StarTalk. He has a PhD in philosophy from Colombia, which I think will add value when the producers are deciding on the next host of the show.
It will be tough for anyone to follow the act of someone like Trebek who was so gracious, humorous and welcoming. I think deGrasse Tyson will honor his legacy as the next Jeopardy! host with his quick wit and his charismatic personality, and help the show carry on for several more years.
