Stanford Best Bet At +400

If you listened to us a few weeks ago, you could’ve nabbed Stanford at +1400 value, but the Cardinal are still a worthwhile bet at this number.

They’re 47-16 and are the highest-ranked remaining team in the RPI (ranking percentage index) with strong conference wins against the top teams. Stanford won its final 12 regular-season games and built on the streak with a slugfest win over Oregon State in the Pac-12 Tournament.

After dropping a heartbreaking 13-12 game in the Super Regional opener against Connecticut, Stanford clapped back with dominating wins to seal the series and earn a trip to Omaha.

Notre Dame Great College World Series Odds Value

The Fighting Irish are already king slayers, and now they have their sights set on the College World Series crown.

Notre Dame stunned top-seeded Tennessee with a three-game series win over the Volunteers, defeating easily the most talented team on paper and one of the best college baseball teams we’ve seen in a while. With that win under their belt and a lineup hitting its stride, the Irish can make some noise in Omaha and rightfully slid up College World Series betting odds.

At the end of May, Notre Dame earned the 17th seed in the D1 Baseball Top 25 poll but has propelled itself into CWS odds contention with some great postseason play. The Irish have already proven they can beat the best teams in the sport, so this +550 value is a great wager.

College World Series History

Before the Omaha tournament last year, the Vanderbilt Commodores entered the 2021 College World Series as +250 favorites, while the eventual champion Mississippi State Bulldogs entered with CWS odds of +1000.

This year’s College World Series marks the 75th anniversary of the college baseball championship tournament and the 72nd time the event will be held in Omaha, Nebraska. Check out the most recent winners below:

What Is A Futures Bet On College World Series Odds?

When you visit your sportsbook of choice, you’ll see an option to bet on which team will win the College World Series. This kind of bet is a futures wager, which means you’re betting on events that will happen in time. You would see odds listed like this:

  • Tennessee +375
  • Vanderbilt +375
  • Florida +1200
  • Georgia +1200
  • Mississippi State +1500

Unlike a moneyline bet, where there would be a clear favorite and underdog, the team with the lowest MLB World Series odds is the closest thing to a fave. In this case, it’s Tennessee and Vandy.

The lower teams on the oddsboard, though less likely to win, offer better value. If you were to bet $100 on Mississippi State and they won the College World Series, you’d get a payout of $1,600 – your original $100 is returned, along with your winnings of $1,500. On the other hand, the same bet amount on Tennessee would give you a payout of $475 – you get your $100 back, plus your loot of $375.
