How LSU Wins The College World Series

You just can't help but be drawn in by the big names on this Tigers squad. Louisiana was a top team all season, carved through the regional fields, and made it all the way to the College World Series final on the back of a few big names.

Top stars Dylan Crews and Paul Skenes could be the first two picks in this summer's 2023 MLB Draft, and sophomore slugger Tommy White has been red -hot all tournament. With one game left in the College World Series, that unmatched top talent could carry LSU to a title.

The big question for the Tigers is if they'll use Skenes on short rest in the decisive third game. The big righty last pitched (a shutout) on Thursday and would normally be down on this short of a turnaround. But, he's LSU's clear top hurler, and it'd be a shame if they lost with him watching from the bench.

How Florida Wins

Score 20 runs? Pretty easy.

With their backs against the wall in game two, the Gators put up 24 runs to keep the finals alive. If the Tigers don't start Skenes in game three, there's no reason this Florida offense can't jump all over the other LSU pitchers once again.

The onus for kickstarting that offensive explosion will fall to outfielder Wyatt Langford. Langford is also expected to be a top-five pick in the upcoming 2023 MLB Draft and he exploded for a five hit, six RBI performance in game two.

What Is A Futures Bet On College World Series Odds?

When you visit your sportsbook of choice, you’ll see an option to bet on which team will win the College World Series. This kind of bet is a futures wager, which means you’re betting on events that will happen in time. You would see odds listed like this:

  • Tennessee +375
  • Vanderbilt +375
  • Florida +1200
  • Georgia +1200
  • Mississippi State +1500

Unlike a moneyline bet, where there would be a clear favorite and underdog, the team with the lowest MLB World Series odds is the closest thing to a fave. In this case, it’s Tennessee and Vandy.

The lower teams on the oddsboard, though less likely to win, offer better value. If you were to bet $100 on Mississippi State and they won the College World Series, you’d get a payout of $1,600 – your original $100 is returned, along with your winnings of $1,500. On the other hand, the same bet amount on Tennessee would give you a payout of $475 – you get your $100 back, plus your loot of $375.

Our Odds Calculator can help you determine how much you’d pocket depending on the odds and the amount bet.
