2024 NCAA College World Series Odds: Volunteers Win it

The 2024 College World Series is in the books with Tennessee beating Texas A&M in the final. The two SEC teams pushed things all the way to Game 3 before the Volunteers took the title.

The Volunteers and Aggies were the favorites to meet in the final once we got to bracket play and made it all the way to the end.

I'll update this page once 2025 College World Series odds finally come out, but here are how the odds ended up ahead of Game 3 for the 2024 series:

Why Was Tennessee Favored To Win The College World Series?

With a late-season surge, the Tennessee Volunteers became college baseball's top-ranked team at the end of the regular season and held onto their spot as College World Series favorites ever since.

After bashing through the bracket, the Volunteers took a step back in Game 1 of this final. Texas A&M's bats came alive in that opening contest, but the Vols were able to pitch their way out of trouble to force a Game 3.

Both teams burned their top starting pitchers, meaning it was an all-hands-on-deck for both sides in Game 3, which benefited Tennessee. The Volunteers' status as CWS favs came on the back of offense. They managed to out-slug opponents all season and postseason long, lifted by an infield pair of Christian Moore and Bill Amick (who are both expected to be first-round picks in the upcoming MLB Draft).

When Is The College World Series?

We'll update for 2025 once the schedule comes out, but last year's College World Series began on June 14th in Omaha, Nebraska. The tournament went through until June 24, when the final game of the College World Series Finals was played. You can bet on CWS baseball betting odds and NCAA baseball futures right up until the final game.

  • Regionals: May 31 - June 3
  • Super Regionals: June 7 - June 9 or June 8 - June 10
  • College World Series: June 14 - June 24
  • Finals: June 22-24

College World Series History

We didn't get quite the same firepower as LSU's Dylan Crews and Paul Skenes this year, but the 2024 Tennessee Volunteers still showed us why favorites can win in this tournament.

The Volts entered the tournament first in CWS odds and were slated as -210 favorites before the three-game final began. They beat Texas A&M in three games to become the latest College World Series champs:

What Is A Futures Bet On College World Series Odds?

When you visit your sportsbook of choice, you’ll see an option to bet on which team will win the College World Series. This kind of bet is a futures wager, which means you’re betting on events that will happen in time. You would see odds listed like this:

  • Tennessee +375
  • Vanderbilt +375
  • Florida +1200
  • Georgia +1200
  • Mississippi State +1500

Unlike a moneyline bet, where there would be a clear favorite and underdog, the team with the lowest MLB World Series odds is the closest thing to a fave. In this case, it’s Tennessee and Vandy.

The lower teams on the oddsboard, though less likely to win, offer better value. If you were to bet $100 on Mississippi State and they won the College World Series, you’d get a payout of $1,600 – your original $100 is returned, along with your winnings of $1,500. On the other hand, the same bet amount on Tennessee would give you a payout of $475 â€“ you get your $100 back, plus your loot of $375.

Our Odds Calculator can help you determine how much you’d pocket depending on the odds and the amount bet.
