Nats vs Pirates SAme Game Parlay

Pirates vs Nationals Same Game Parlay For April 4: Back The Bucs

I'm 1-1 in my last two MLB same-same parlays last season, so let's add another to the win column

For Thursday, I'm highlighting the Pirates vs Nationals matchup, with first pitch scheduled for 4:06 p.m. ET at Washington's home park. Here's my MLB same-game parlay for the contest, where I break down the three parlay legs I need to hit:

Pirates vs Nationals Same-Game Parlay: April 4

The Game: Pirates vs Nationals at 4:06 p.m. ET

BetOdds
Pirates Moneyline-130
Martin Perez OVER 3.5 strikeouts+138
Oneil Cruz To Get A Hit-260
Overall+343

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Pirates Moneyline

The Pirates are on an absolute heater. They took their first loss of the season last night, moving to 5-1 on the year, but still look legit. I was buying up all the Pirates stock heading into this season because of the lineup, and it's paying off. Connor Joe, Ke'Bryan Hayes, Bryan Reynolds, and Oneil Cruz are all off to great starts to the season, and I don't expect them to stop tonight.

The Pirates face off against Washington starter Josiah Gray, who allowed seven runs in four innings of work in his 2024 debut.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Martin Perez OVER 3.5 Ks

I get that Perez only reached two strikeouts in his first start of 2024 and he isn't really known as a K machine. But, I think he's going to feast on this Nationals lineup.

The Nats currently have a team batting average of .171 against lefties like Perez and an OPS of just .382. With high-strikeout lefties like Eddie Rosario, Joey Gallo, and Jessie Winker in the lineup, this is a good shot for Perez to rack up strikeouts.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Oneil Cruz To Get A Hit

I needed a third leg to this parlay, and adding a Pirates hit prop just seemed like the natural thing to do. Nats starter Josiah Gray allowed eight hits in four frames of work in his 2024 debut, meaning there should be plenty of hits to go around this afternoon and I think Cruz will be one of the guys to get it. So Far this season he's hitting .308 against righties like Gray.
