NASCAR: Odds to win the Monster Energy All-Star Race

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will shift into overdrive for the annual Monster Energy All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Kevin Harvick is the odds-on favorite to take the checkered flag.

Harvick is listed at +400 followed by Kyle Busch at +550, Brad Keselowski and Ryan Blaney at +750, Kyle Larson at +850, Martin Truex Jr. at +900, Joey Logano at +1000, Kurt Busch at +1400, Denny Hamlin at +1600 and Clint Bowyer at +1800 to round out the top 10 of the oddsboard.

Harvick has been profitable as the Betting favorite

Kevin Harvick leads the circuit with five wins this season and has been impressive as a favorite, winning three of his five checkered flags as the chalk pick, including a win last weekend at the KC Masterpiece 400. He is currently in second in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup standings but it’s worth noting that this race doesn’t impact season standings.

The only knock on Harvick coming into this race is that he has never topped the podium at Charlotte Motor Speedway but he did finish second in the all-star race in 2014 and 2015. Considering that the stakes are low and his odds are at +400, there may be more value in wagering on another driver this time around.

Can another all-star driver take the checkered flag?

Kyle Busch (+550) won in this race last year and currently leads the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup standings. But repeat Sportsbooks have rarely occurred in this competition as Jimmie Johnson is the only back-to-back Sportsbook since the all-star format was introduced, topping the podium in 2012 and 2013.

Martin Truex Jr. at +900 may offer the best value as he has finished in the top five in the last three years of this race and has seven top-five finishes this season. The reigning Monster Energy NASCAR Cup champion has only one win this season and may be due for a breakout at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
