2024 NBA All-Star Weekend Betting Odds

The NBA's All-Star Weekend features a number of entertaining events for bettors to wager on, whether it's the All-Star Game itself on Sunday, all of the competitions on All-Star Saturday Night (Skills Challenge, 3-Point Shootout, and Slam Dunk Contest), the Celebrity Game, or the Rising Stars Challenge.

This year's iteration even features a bonus 3-Point Challenge between Golden State Warriors sniper Stephen Curry and WNBA sharpshooter Sabrina Ionescu.

The festivities get underway on Feb. 16, culminating with the 73rd edition of the All-Star Game on Feb. 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Here is all of the information and betting odds you need to make the 2024 All-Star Weekend a profitable one.

NBA All-Star Game Rosters

For the first time since 2017, the All-Star Game will feature the best of the Eastern Conference taking on the elite of the Western Conference as opposed to two captains (determined by All-Star votes) selecting the rosters playground-style.

The format for the action itself will also revert back to four 12-minute quarters, although the charity aspect will be maintained to award the highest-scoring team for each quarter.

East+3 (-106)+126U 362.5 (-110)
West-3 (-114)-148O 362.5 (-110)

Pick: Western Conference -3 (-114)

It's been far too long since we've seen East versus West, but even recent history shows that one particular side has had an extended run of success to make this bet a tad more clear.

LeBron James was a member of the winning team every year from 2018 through 2022, with last year's game against Team Giannis in Salt Lake City, Utah ending that streak.

The West has far more All-Star experience on its side than the East, as well, which will be represented by four players making their debut. In 18 All-Star Games from 2000 through 2017, the East won a grand total six times.

It's a glorified exhibition, so literally anything can happen, but that's why looking at trends and finding patterns is so vital to these types of bets.

Shai Gilgeous-AlexanderWest+1500

Pick: LeBron James, +700

The record for the most All-Star Game MVP wins is held by Kobe Bryant, whom the award is named after, as well as Bob Pettit. James has three across his 19 appearances, and needs one more to tie the all-time record.

The record for the oldest All-Star MVP in history is Shaquille O'Neal when he shared the award with Bryant in 2009 at 36 years and 346 days old. James is already 39 years of age and would shatter that mark should he become a four-time winner on Feb. 18. Factoring in how competitive The King can be, making even more history near the tail-end of his storied career is something he'd surely love to accomplish.

If the East wins, though, take a hard look at Tyrese Haliburton at +1100 considering the game is in Indiana and there's a strong possibility his teammates may look to get him numbers in front of Pacers fans in attendance.

NBA Slam Dunk Contest Betting Odds

Mac McClungOsceola Magic (G League)-190
Jaylen BrownBoston Celtics+420
Jacob ToppinNew York Knicks+600
Jaime Jaquez Jr. Miami Heat+650

Pick: Mac McClung, -190

This event is Mac McClung's to lose as he single-handedly made the 2023 Dunk Contest memorable with his 199.8 points across four dunks out of a possible 200.

Jaylen Brown earned some brownie points across the online basketball community simply by participating this year, if only because this event hasn't had much star power or name recognition in quite some time.

Unfortunately, if McClung bombs, then so does the Slam Dunk Contest.

NBA 3-Point Contest Betting Odds

Damian LillardMilwaukee Bucks+390
Tyrese HaliburtonIndiana Pacers+450
Trae YoungAtlanta Hawks+550
Malik BeasleyMilwaukee Bucks+650
Karl-Anthony TownsMinnesota Timberwolves+700
Donovan MitchellCleveland Cavaliers+750
Jalen BrunsonNew York Knicks+750
Lauri MarkkanenUtah Jazz+800

Pick: Tyrese Haliburton, +450

It's perhaps the most unorthodox shooting technique of any of the eight participants, but boy does it work.

Haliburton knows the rims better than anyone, so that gives him a distinct advantage. He also tied the record in 2023 for the most points in a single round with 31 of a possible 40.

He'll want to put on a show in Indianapolis and emerge with some sort of hardware. If this is his lone win, then so be it.

Sabrina Ionescu Vs. Stephen Curry Shootout Betting Odds

Sabrina IonescuNew York Liberty (WNBA)44.8+176
Stephen CurryGolden State Warriors42.1-230

Pick: Sabrina Ionescu, +176

Sabrina Ionescu enters as the underdog in odds alone, because she may have had the single-greatest shooting performance of any shootout in either league when she recorded 37 of a possible 40 points at WNBA All-Star 2023. It's that performance which set the wheels in motion for this hotly-anticipated showdown.

This contest will be played on a level playing field, as Curry will shoot from the NBA's 3-point arc while Ionescu will shoot from the WNBA's line with WNBA basketballs.

Ionescu set a WNBA record in 2023 by drilling 128 3-pointers at a ridiculous 44.8 percent conversion rate. At +176, go make that bank while she banks shots.

NBA Skills Challenge Betting Odds

Team Top Picks (Anthony Edwards, Victor Wembanyama, Paolo Banchero)+140
Team All-Stars (Scottie Barnes, Tyrese Maxey, Trae Young)+180
Team Pacers (Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, Myles Turner)+190

Pick: Team All-Stars, +180

Scottie Barnes and Tyrese Maxey notoriously (and hilariously) flopped during last year's Clutch Challenge, which ended up drawing Shaqtin' a Fool fame at the end of the season.

Each player making the East All-Star team will surely be the highlight of their respective weekend, but redemption in the Skills Challenge to hopefully erase their 2023 showing in the one-off event may draw a stronger performance out of sheer pride.

NBA Rising Stars Rosters

The four participating teams, each led by a guest head coach who previously played in the NBA or WNBA, will compete in a three-game mini-tournament to crown an ultimate winner.

Two semifinal games, dubbed Games 1 and 2, will be played up to a final target score of 40 points. The two winners will then compete in the finals with a target score of 25 to determine a champion.

NBA Rising Stars Challenge Betting Odds

Team Pau Gasol+120
Team Tamika Catchings+240
Team Jalen Rose+310
Team Detlef Schrempf+850

Pick: Team Pau Gasol, +120

It would be a heck of a story if Team Detlef Schrempf could pull off the upset, but considering the competition, that's asking a great deal of the G Leaguers.

Pau Gasol won a pair of championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and is now the reigning and defending champion of Rising Stars after defeating Team Joakim Noah last year.

Any team featuring Victor Wembanyama should be the heavy favorite in any exhibition where defense isn't prioritized, although the 7-foot-4 Frenchman can defend pretty much anyone simply by standing still and raising his arms.
