In order to combat the scorching-hot Nuggets offense, the Blazers will need to rely heavily on their own star backcourt combo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. Lillard is averaging 25.2 points on the season but is mired in a bit of a slump and has failed to reach 20 points in each of the team’s last two games. The 27-year-old is 8-for-36 from downtown in five games this month, including 1-for-10 in the last two setbacks.
The good news for Blazers bettors is Portland has long dominated this series. The Trail Blazers claimed three of the four meetings between the clubs last year and six of seven overall.
