The Morning Dunk: Warriors End Bucks' Winning Streak In Convincing Fashion

A winning streak concludes, a superstar is feeling the pain, and a 20-point comeback highlight today's edition of The Morning Dunk with all of the NBA coverage you need to digest for your Thursday reading.

Bucks' Winning Ways Halted By Warriors

The Milwaukee Bucks had all of the momentum in the world, riding a six-game winning streak that was tops amongst all teams across the league. Then they ran into a freight train called the Golden State Warriors, and it all ended in a flash.

Stephen Curry connected on six 3-pointers for a game-high 29 points to lead the Warriors to a commanding 125-90 victory at the Chase Center on Wednesday.

Jonathan Kuminga contributed 20 points and three rejections, while Trayce Jackson-Davis added 15 points and four blocks of his own off the bench.

It was Milwaukee's first defeat since coming back from the All-Star break, while also marking the first time it hasn't covered the spread during that stretch as well.

Kings Handle Lakers As LeBron Limps Off

Playing 21 seasons and being 39 years of age would wear down even the most durable of players, including the great LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers All-Star limped off the court and into the locker room during the final minutes of what ended up being a 130-120 loss to the Sacramento Kings at Crypto.com Arena.

James did say following his 31-point, 13-assist performance that he'll be alright, at the very least.

Leading the Kings in victory was De'Aaron Fox with 44 points, while Domantas Sabonis notched his league-leading 22nd triple-double of 16 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists.

They covered the spread as the three-point underdogs, marking the fifth time in their last 13 games they've managed to do so.

Clippers Escape Houston With Much-Needed Win

It was looking like another ugly loss forthcoming for the Los Angeles Clippers, but they ultimately got the end result they were looking for.

Kawhi Leonard scored 28 points and James Harden and Paul George each had 21 as the Clippers overcame a 20-point deficit to beat the Houston Rockets in a narrow 122-116 win at the Toyota Center.

Los Angeles picked up its third win in four games after blowing a 15-point lead to the Bucks late on Monday. It remains 2.5 games back of the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with three teams ahead in the standings.
