NCAAB Expert Picks Feb. 21: Dogs Are Barking

We're searching far and wide for the very best NCAAB bets for Wednesday, February 21st. A scintillating college basketball slate offers bettors plenty of value on today's underdogs.

Our college basketball computer picks loves all three of these teams to cover the spread. Here are my three best college basketball bets of the evening:

Jump To Picks

Pick 1: Notre Dame +3 (-110) vs Louisville

Notre Dame’s defense will be a catalyst of a cover on Wednesday night. The Fighting Irish rank 65th in the nation in defensive efficiency, allowing 99 points per 100 possessions. The Irish have won back to back games and now travel to Louisville squad that has covered the spread only three times as a favorite this season. The Cardinal are also notoriously sloppy with the basketball. Louisville turns the ball over an average of nearly 13 times per game, with an astronomical 15.8% turnover rate.

Expect the Fighting Irish to force a multitude of turnovers, and hit just enough shots with their slow, deliberate offense to cover the 3-point spread here.

Pick 2: Providence +5 (-110) vs Xavier

Similarly, the Providence defense ranks 22nd in the nation in defensive efficiency while allowing just 96 points per 100 possessions. The Friars force nearly 13 turnovers per game, and will be able to turn their work on the glamorous end in easy offense on Wednesday night.

On the flip side Xavier is just 7-5 ATS as a home favorite this season. They don't shoot the ball particularly well, and we're betting the Friars can get more than a few second chance points as the Musketeers struggle at cleaning the glass.

Pick 3: Charlotte +6.5 (-110) vs Memphis

Memphis has struggled of late, losing two straight and five of their last eight games. The Tigers are just 5-14 ATS on the season as favorite, having covered just once as home chalk in the past month.

Meanwhile, Charlotte have won nine of their past ten games, and have shot the lights out lately. The 49ers have converted over 48% of their shot attempts over their last three games. They should have no trouble exploiting a Memphis defense allowing nearly 77 points per game this season. Plus, the 49ers have covered against the spread in their past three games as underdogs.
