Rayquan Evans and the Florida State Seminoles are sizable betting favorites in NCAAB odds vs the Miami Hurricanes on Wednesday night.

Seminoles Double-Digit Road Favorites vs Hurricanes on Wednesday

The 11th-ranked Florida State Seminoles (13-3 SU, 9-6-1 ATS) will try to move one step closer to securing the top seed in the conference tournament when they visit the Miami Hurricanes (7-13 SU, 9-11 ATS) on Wednesday as double-digit road favorites at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark. The Seminoles are riding a three-game winning streak following a 79-72 victory against the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday, pushing as 7-point road chalk.

Sportsbook Odds Analysis

This is the sixth time this season that Florida State is a double-digit favorite. One of the previous occasions was a home matchup with Miami and resulted in an 81-59 rout as 11-point home chalk on January 27 to close out a five-game winning streak against the spread. The Seminoles are 1-2-1 ATS in four games since then despite going 3-1 straight up, failing to cover as 13-point home favorites in a 92-85 win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on February 13. The Hurricanes have lost seven of their last eight, including three in a row, going 2-6 ATS in those games.

Florida State News & Notes

Florida State has emerged as a legitimate national title contender under head coach Leonard Hamilton, who is in his 19th season at the school.

There remains a bit of value on the Seminoles in the futures betting market to win the national championship, but that could change by the end of the regular season if they take home the ACC title and No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.

That said, this might be a look-ahead spot for them with a road matchup vs the North Carolina Tar Heels on deck Saturday at Chapel Hill. In the first meeting with Miami, Florida State held its opponent to just 37 percent shooting from the field and owned a dominant 45-23 rebounding advantage.

Miami News & Notes

The Hurricanes are coming off an 87-60 loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets as 4-point home underdogs Saturday for their worst setback of the season. Their previous two losses were both decided by 10 points or less, and that followed an 80-76 upset of the Duke Blue Devils as 11-point road underdogs on February 1.

It is hard to say which team will show up in the rematch with the Seminoles, who have won the past six meetings SU and covered four of them. In fact, three of the last four losses for Miami in this series have been decided by 12 points or more, something that could obviously happen again here.

Betting Pick: Hurricanes +11.5

There are not really any betting trends to back up this pick, but taking the underdog seems like the right play in this spot regardless of the situation. The Hurricanes just suffered their worst loss of the year at home, and their opponent already beat them by 22 points earlier this season. Look for this one to be closer than expected with Miami staying within 10.
