    Justin Moore’s Injury Could Be Costly

    The Wildcats couldn’t get much going on offense in the Elite Eight against the Houston Cougars, shooting just 15-for-52 from the field and 5-for-21 from three-point range en route to a 50-point effort. That proved to be enough, though, in a 50-44 win over the Cougars thanks to another outstanding performance on defense. Jermaine Samuels led the team in scoring for the second straight game with 16 points.

    Villanova improved to 9-0 SU over its last nine games and to 5-0 ATS over its last five with the win. The Wildcats have allowed only 56.2 points per game over their last seven in a stretch that includes a three-game run to the Big East championship and a four-game run to the Final Four.

    The defense will have to continue its elite level of play after Justin Moore, Villanova’s second-leading scorer (14.8 points per game), tore his right Achilles in the closing moments against Houston.

    Kansas Looked Dominant In Win Over Miami

    The Jayhawks were impressive on both ends of the court in their 76-50 win over the Miami Hurricanes on Sunday. Ochai Agbaji bounced back from a bad game against the Providence Friars with 18 points, five rebounds and four assists vs Miami. Kansas easily covered the spread as a 5-point favorite to move to 8-0 SU and 6-2 ATS over its last eight games.
