Expert Picks Feb. 16: Three Bets For Hurricanes vs. Coyotes

Today's NHL expert picks will focus on the only game that's on the schedule; the Carolina Hurricanes visiting the Arizona Coyotes. You can thank the Stadium Series this weekend in New Jersey for the slow schedule.

Follow these picks and don't forget to see our matchup page for Carolina vs Arizona to get more betting insights.

Pick 1: UNDER 6 Goals (+102)

The trends suggest the total goes UNDER tonight. In Arizona's last two home games, the total has gone UNDER. Meanwhile, Carolina has seen the total go under six times in their last seven games!

Neither squad is particularly good offensively of late. Carolina has averaged 2.7 goals in their last seven games while Arizona is averaging 2.3. That's a combined five goals lately. Good enough to hit our total.

Pick 2: P1 UNDER 1.5 Goals (+105)

I'm going to double up on taking an UNDERs bet here. As well as taking the UNDER on the entire game I'm doing so for the first period as well.

Carolina has kept the score below 1.5 goals in the first 20 six times in their last 10 games. That's a trend that's repeatable enough for me to bet this line

Pick 3: Martin Necas Anytime Goal (+190)

Our own Josie Costigan picked Marty Necas to hit his shot prop tonight. So I'm going to picky-back that pick, sort of.

Necas has four goals in seven career games against the Coyotes. He's also on a bit of a heater with seven goals in nine games. So if he's getting all that rubber on the net I'm sure he scores one.
