NHL Shots On Goal Props Tonight: Watch Out For Necas

The NHL has an abundance of player and game props to get your hands on. A popular, rather simple option is shots on goal. We don't need the pucks to go in (though that's a nice bonus), we just need them to wind up their stick and hit the net.

NHL Prop #1 - Martin Necas OVER 2.5 Shots (-150)

NHL Prop #2 - Clayton Keller UNDER 3.5 Shots (-110)

NHL Prop #3 - Michael Bunting OVER 2.5 Shots (+130)

NHL shots on goal odds: February 16

Who likes to shoot right now? With only one NHL matchup tonight, here are the guys we're leaning on to go OVER or UNDER their shots on goal prop.

Martin necas oVER 2.5 Shots (-150)

Necas has been all over the ice lately, recording 19 shots in his last five outings. Despite coming off a 4-2 loss to Dallas, the Czech gave his best effort by attempting five shots.

The 25-year-old is still buzzing from his hattrick against Colorado a few nights ago and will be eager to keep the wheels going against a struggling Arizona bench. When Necas faced the Yotes at the end of January, he pocketed four shots and netted one goal.

clayton keller UNDER 3.5 Shots (-110)

Keller has been the guy for Arizona, leading with 49 points and 154 shots. But, since returning from All-Star break, the 25-year-old hasn't been nearly as consistent. In his last four appearances, it's been a pattern of three shot and single shot efforts.

In his last meeting with Carolina, he was shut down and limited to a pair of shot attempts. Clearly, Arizona has fell into a slump and I don't think it's climbing out of it tonight.

michael Bunting OVER 2.5 Shots (+130)

I need to toss in a plus-money pick I like for tonight. Bunting has piled a noble 12 shots since the start of February. No matter what the scoreboard shows, the 28-year-old continues to shoot. He attempted three shots in the 4-2 loss to Dallas and four shots in the mere 1-0 win against New Jersey recently.

He seems to have found a groove and I'll swing in the direction of his momentum.
