A win tonight (as well as a Blues loss) will have the Colorado Avalanche join the Rangers as an officially playoff-bound team. You know MacKinnon and his men will be motivated to get that 'x' next to the team name in the standings.

Pick 1: Colorado Avalanche Moneyline

Eastern Conference teams struggle massively at Ball Arena. This year the Avs hold an 11-4SU record when teams from the East visit. And the Rangers' record away to Western hosts isn't good enough to change that at 8-6SU.

Since 2017-18, the Avs have welcomed the Rangers to Denver five times and have won four of those five meetings with a 17-7 (+10) scoring differential.

With the motivation of a playoff berth, I can't see them losing.

Pick 2: Avalanche P1 Moneyline

I believe the winning for Colorado will start in the first period. When on home ice, the Avalanche are 18-9-8 (51%) on the first-period moneyline. Meanwhile, the Rangers are 14-15-8 (38%) in P1 when on the road.

In those five games against the Rangers on home ice since 2017, the Avs haven't just outscored them 17-7 through all three periods but they've outscored them 7-1 in the opening 20.

Pick 3: Nathan MacKinnon O1.5 Pts

The Mack Dawg is currently on a 19-game point streak with 38 points. Exactly two points per game in that streak. Ridiculous.

At home, Nate hasn't gone pointless all season. In 37 home games this year, MacKinnon has hit O1.5 points 27 times, or 73%. Again, ridiculous.

MacKinnon has only faced the Rangers three times in Denver since 2017-18, but he's scored two goals and added five helpers for 2.33 points per game. Well above what we need to hit our bet.
