Cole Caufield's Montreal Canadiens featured in our nhl prop bets for tonight

Shots On Goal Props Tonight: Caufield Still Shooting Despite Goal Drought

The NHL has an abundance of player and game props to get your hands on. A popular, rather simple option is shots on goal. We don't need the pucks to go in (though that's a nice bonus), we just need them to wind up their stick and hit the net.

NHL Prop #1 - Cole Caufield OVER 3.5 Shots (-135)

NHL Prop #2 - Jakob Chychrun OVER 2.5 Shots (-140)

NHL Prop #3 - Seth Jones OVER 2.5 Shots (+100)

NHL shots on goal odds: march 9

Who likes to shoot right now? With all the NHL matchups tonight, here are the guys we're leaning on to go OVER or UNDER their shots on goal prop.

cole caufield oVER 3.5 Shots (-135)

Igniting the old rivalry as Toronto hops a province over to visit Montreal. Caufield leads the Canadiens in shots by a mile with 240, Captain Suzuki is the closest behind him with 148. In his last 10 outings, the 23-year-old has hit the OVER on this total in all but one occasion.

He is currently goalless in his last nine performances, but he hasn't stopped aiming to hit the back of the net with 38 shots in that span.

Jakob Chychrun OVER 2.5 Shots (-140)

Ottawa continues its Western road trip still looking to snap its six-game skid. What better chance than to do it against the Sharks, who are dwelling in their own nine-game losing streak.

According to our shots on goal betting report, San Jose gives up the league-most 10.7 shots per game to defensemen. That bodes well for Chychrun, who leads Ottawa's d-core with 150 shots.

The 25-year-old continues to give an honest effort nightly, sniping 16 shots in his last five meetings. But, the Senators will be very determined to put a ruthless end to this downward spiral.

seth jones oVER 2.5 Shots (+100)

Jones has been attacking the net lately, ripping 20 shots in his last five outings. The Texas native sees plenty of ice-time, ringing in just over 25 minutes on average. He is fresh off a five-shot night, playing a role in Chicago's 16th win with a 5-2 performance over Arizona.

When the 29-year-old last met the Capitals in mid-January, he collected five shots.
