Manchester City

There is no reason to think that Manchester City are anything but favorites going into the 2024-25 EPL season. On paper, they've got the strongest squad and the best manager. And I don't know if you've heard, but they've won four Premier League titles in a row.

They've lost no players to the transfer window (yet) and have strengthened with the addition of Savinho from Girona.

City won the title last year with a two-point cushion over Arsenal thanks to a wildly impressive 23-game unbeaten run from December 10 to May 19. Why would Manchester City be anything but favorites for the 2024-25 season?

Premier League Title Odds Value Pick

With City being clear favorites to win the 2024-25 EPL title, you'll find lots of value elsewhere on the odds board. Here are a few value picks for this year's English Premier League title.

Arsenal

Arsenal had an outstanding 23-24 season. In any other year, they probably win the league. Look at where they ranked in several important statistical categories:

  • Goals: 91 (2nd)
  • Goals Against: 29 (1st)
  • xG Differential: +48.2 (1st)
  • Points Per Match (Home): 2.47 (t-2nd)
  • Points Per Match (Away): 2.21 (2nd)

No matter how you look at it Arsenal was a contender last season.

In the transfer window, the Gunners are close to adding Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori. The 22-year-old was impressive for Bologna and Italy at the Euros he gives Arteta a much-needed upgrade/competition at left-back.

Being runners up that last two seasons you have to think Mikel Arteta gets it right at some point. Adding quality in one of the few positions that needed upgrades makes me feel this might be their year.

Chelsea

Man City bought their way to a title(s), so why can't Chelsea? Boehly's Blues spent nearly a billion pounds to assemble their current roster. An astronomical sum no matter how you look at it.

Finishing sixth in 23-24 after spending that much on a squad is far from ideal, but there was an encouraging sign at the end of the season. The West London club rattled off five straight wins with a +10 goal differential and -0.5 goals scored above expected.

Chelsea has the quality on paper to challenge for a title and demonstrated that they're an elite squad. Maybe those billion pounds ballons them up to a title.

No, that’s not a typo. Leicester City was a long shot to win the Premier League in 2015-16. It seemed impossible for the Foxes, who were in a relegation scrap the previous season, could win a title the very next year.

Sir Alex Ferguson had a mission to knock Liverpool off its perch as the winningest club in English football. And he succeeded in dominating the game with Manchester United and pushing them to 29 titles. Neighbors City has a long way to go in matching Sir Alex's return, but they're making a dent.

Blackburn and Leicester are the only sides to win the Premier League and be relegated.

What Is A Premier League Futures Bet?

A futures bet is made in advance of an event. In this case, you’re looking at the odds to win the upcoming Premier League title. Premier League title futures odds will look similar to this at your sportsbook:

  • Manchester City -110
  • Arsenal +200
  • Liverpool +400

In this situation, Manchester City is the favorite. They have the lowest odds at -110. That means a $100 winning bet on City would return $190 -- that's $90 of profit plus your $100 wager. At +200, Arsenal is an underdog. A winning $100 bet on Arsenal would return $300 -- that's $200 of profit plus your $100 wager.
