Juventus hosts Inter Milan in key battle in Serie A title race

Games in domestic Italian football do not come much bigger than this one, with defending league champion and current table topper Juventus set to welcome in-form Inter Milan to Turin on Friday night. Juventus has had everything pretty much their own way in Serie A so far this season, but if there is any side in Italy that can give them a real test, then it could well be this Inter outfit.

Can Inter give Juventus a genuine test?

That is the main question heading into this crunch clash, as Juventus threatens to run away with the league title in much the same way as PSG is doing in France. The Old Lady have dropped just two points all season and sit eight points ahead of Napoli in second, and 11 points ahead of their next opponents – Inter are third in the table.

And after a slow start to the new campaign, Inter has been picking up over recent weeks. The Nerazzurri have won four of their last six league outings and, on paper at least, have the players to go toe to toe with Juventus over 90 minutes, even away from home.

Nevertheless, it is the champions who come into this match as the clear favorites to take all three points. You can back Juventus to pick up yet another win at just -175, while Inter is out at +500 to hand the champions their first defeat of the league campaign. A draw is priced in the middle at +280.

Juventus to prove their superiority

While Inter should be capable of giving Juventus a challenge, taking three points –or even one, for that matter – is something else entirely. This should be an entertaining spectacle between two talented teams, but Juventus should still prevail come the final whistle, and while it is never easy trying to predict the exact scoreline of any game, a 3-1 win for Juventus – the same scoreline by which they beat Napoli earlier in the season – is priced competitively at +1200.

Such a result would then allow you to back OVER 2.5 goals in the game, which is priced short at -110, as well as both teams to score, which also comes in short at -106. Therefore, in an attempt to boost any potential earnings from this crunch encounter, it may well be worth considering combo betting, where you can select multiple outcomes at higher odds.

Could Ronaldo score again?
