JDM is a slugger with strong boxing fundamentals, a knack for jumping on finishes, and intermittently exploitable ground game. The Aussie's volume is crazy (7.20 significant strikes landed per minute), and that'll be a lot for the 37-year-old Burns to handle.
Gilbert can take a beating, and I expect him to use his wrestling when things go sour on Saturday. The Brazilian is also recovering from a serious shoulder injury suffered in a loss on May 6, 2023.
Long story short, I'm expecting a very close fight that likely goes the distance. JDM is an exceptional power puncher, but Burns is savvy and hasn't been stopped since 2021.
