Borralho vs Oleksiejczuk Preview: Who Will Win?

Let's take a closer look at this 185-pound clash.

How Borralho Wins

The Dana White Contender Series product is a slick fighter. He stays very light on his feet (which helps against leg/calf strikes) and has good rhythm in his movements.

All told Borralho's strikes and bounciness are both disguises for his grappling entries — that's where the Brazilian is best. "The Natural" is long and explosive with his takedown attempts, landing at an exceptional 75-percent clip. Borralho will take Oleksiejczuk down in this fight — that's a fact — and from there, the fight will be decided.

If the Pole can climb to his feet and unload with strikes, this bout will be close. If not, Borralho will cruise to an easy win.

How Oleksiejczuk wins

"Hussar" will have one hell of a time trying to get his mitts on Borralho. As I said, the Brazilian is quite slippery, and with a code-red threat of a takedown at all times, Oleksiejczuk might be hesitant to engage. He can't be wishy-washy, though, or he'll lose.

Oleksiejczuk is incredibly vulnerable to grapplers (2 SUB losses in UFC), but that's not to say he can't survive off his back. In his last bout vs Cody Brundage, the Poland native reversed position off the cage and secured a ground-and-pound victory. It's unlikely Borralho wrestles sloppily enough that such an opportunity presents itself, however, the precedent is there for some counter-attacks.

Watch for Oleksiejczuk to tag Borralho on the feet and then stay active when he's dragged to the ground.

Borralho vs Oleksiejczuk Pick

Watching the tape on Oleksiejczuk made me a little more optimistic about his chances. Borralho carries his chin a bit high and could get blown up with a good overhand counter or uppercut. Still, I doubt Borralho let' this fight come to that.

I'll take Borralho to win. And with Oleksiejczuk's propensity for early stoppages (seven of nine UFC fights ended inside the distance), betting this fight to end early is the move.

Pick: Borralho to win by KO/TKO/SUB (-130); UNDER 2.5 rounds (-165)
