Glover Teixeira vs Jiri Prochazka Odds & Pick

Glover Teixeira vs Jiri Prochazka Odds
FighterOdds
Glover Teixeira+175
Jiri Prochazka-220

Glover Teixeira (+175) has impressed during the six-fight win streak he has ridden to the top of the UFC light heavyweight division. However, he continues to face skepticism at the sportsbooks, where he has failed to emerge as a clear betting favorite ahead of any of his recent wins.

The trend is moving in the opposite direction for Prochazka (-220), who has seen his support steadily increase as he prepares for just his third UFC contest.

Teixeira: Need To Knows
  • Teixeira has established himself as a formidable threat, both on the mat and toe to toe. Holder of black belts in both Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Kajukenbo, the 42-year-old has submitted opponents on four occasions during his current 6-0-0 run and holds the all-time record for most submissions among UFC light heavyweights.
  • The champion’s punching power cannot be underestimated. Eighteen of his 33 career wins have come by KO or TKO, capped by his fifth-round TKO win over Anthony Smith at UFC Fight Night 171 that earned him his fourth career Performance of the Night bonus.
  • Teixeira has claimed victory in 12 of 13 UFC clashes in which he has successfully executed at least one takedown, with the lone exception coming in his epic fifth-round KO loss to Alexander Gustafsson five years ago at UFC Fight Night 109.
  • Teixeira’s last three fights were Jan Blachowicz (win – submission), Thiago Santos (win – submission) and Anthony Smith (win – TKO punches).
Prochazka: Need To Knows
  • It is difficult to overstate Prochazka’s skills as a power puncher. The 29-year-old wasted no time developing a reputation as a speedy finisher, with 15 of his first 16 wins as a pro coming inside five minutes.
  • A Muay Thai specialist, Prochazka has remained dominant during his brief stay in the UFC, tallying second-round KO wins over Reyes and Volkan Oezdemir in his two Octagon appearances to date. “The Czech Samurai” also holds a two-inch reach advantage over Teixeira.
  • While Prochazka is enjoying an epic 16-0-0 run, it is important to note that he has also come out on the wrong end of speedy finishes, with each of his three career defeats coming inside five minutes, including one tap-out.
  • Prochazka’s last three fights were Dominick Reyes (win – KO), Volkan Oezdemir (win – KO) and C. B. Dollaway (win – KO).

Prediction: Prochazka (-220); OVER 1.5 rounds (-125)

Valentina Shevchenko vs Taila Santos Odds & Pick

Valentina Shevchenko vs Taila Santos Odds
FighterOdds
Valentina Shevchenko-600
Taila Santos+400

Valentina Shevchenko (-600) will be aiming to strengthen her perch atop the pound-for-pound rankings with a ninth straight victory as she seeks to defend her UFC women’s flyweight title against fourth-ranked contender Taila Santos.

“Bullet” is coming off a fourth-round TKO win over Lauren Murphy last time out at UFC 266 and has now finished opponents in four of her six title defenses to date.

The biggest long shot of the night, Taila Santos (+400) is coming off an impressive first-round submission win over Joanne Wood at UFC Vegas 43, which marked her fourth straight win since suffering the lone loss of her career, to Mara Romero Borella at UFC Fight Night 144.

Shevchenko: Need To Knows
  • Shevchenko has made her mark on the record books since her return to flyweight. The 34-year-old Russian is undefeated in nine career fights at 125 pounds, with her four KO/TKO wins the most in history among UFC women’s flyweights. She also trails only Gillian Robertson with five career finishes.
  • Bullet has also been installed as a strong favorite since claiming the flyweight crown, sporting average odds of -1262 over her six successful title defenses.
  • While eight of her 22 career wins have come by KO or TKO, Shevchenko also sports formidable submission skills, with five of her first seven career wins coming by tap-out inside five minutes.
  • Shevchenko has racked up 15 total takedowns over her past three fights, and compiled 18:49 of total control time over those contests.
  • Shevchenko’s last three fights were Lauren Murphy (win – TKO elbows & punches), Jessica Andrade (win – TKO elbows) and Jennifer Maia (win – unanimous decision).
Santos: Need To Knows
  • Santos has settled down since falling to defeat in her Octagon debut, posting four straight wins, including three victories by decision.
  • A feared power puncher in her early days fighting in Brazil, the 28-year-old has finished opponents inside five minutes in 12 of her 19 career victories. That skill has followed her to the UFC, where she is ranked tops among UFC flyweights with three career knockdowns.
  • And while she has just three career submission wins to her credit, she has attempted to tap out opponents in four of her past five fights, and ranks seventh with 12 career takedowns.
  • Inexperience in championship rounds could be a concern for Santos, who has never seen a fight go beyond three rounds.
  • Santos’ last three fights were Joanne Wood (win – submission), Roxanne Modafferi (win – unanimous decision) and Gillian Robertson (win – unanimous decision).

Prediction: Valentina Shevchenko (-600); OVER 3.5 rounds (-160)

Zhang Weili vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk Odds & Pick

Zhang Weili vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk Odds
FighterOdds
Zhang Weili-175
Joanna Jedrzejczyk+145

Zhang Weili (-175) looks to bounce back from consecutive losses to Rose Namajunas that cost her the UFC women’s strawweight title. However, those defeats at the hands of “Thug Rose” have failed to dent Zhang’s position on the UFC rankings, where she remains pegged as the No. 2 contender among strawweights.

Former UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk (+145) returns to action for the first time since losing the UFC strawweight title to Zhang by split decision over two years ago. That loss also marked her fourth defeat in six outings.

Weili: Need To Knows
  • Zhang appeared poised for a long reign as UFC strawweight champion after claiming the crown with a submission win over Jessica Andrade just 42 seconds into their clash at UFC Fight Night 157.
  • “Magnum” enjoyed a meteoric rise during a 21-fight win streak that featured 11 first-round finishes, but was quickly finished by Thug Rose with a sensational kick just 78 seconds into their date at UFC 261.
  • Zhang lost in her rematch with Namajunas despite executing five successful takedowns and out-striking the champ by a 162-130 margin.
  • Zhang’s last three fights were Rose Namajunas (loss – split decision), Rose Namajunas (loss – KO head kick) and Joanna Jedrzejczyk (win – split decision).
Jedrzejczyk: Need To Knows
  • JJ’s current 2-4-0 slide started with a stunning first-round TKO loss to Thug Rose at UFC 217. However, she has gone a full five rounds in eight of 10 outings.
  • The 34-year-old sports a record 13 wins as a UFC strawweight, and her 6.62 strikes landed per minute are second-most all-time in the 115-pound division.
  • JJ steadily gained momentum in her first date with Zhang, with her strike accuracy steadily increasing to over 54 percent over the final two rounds of their UFC 248 matchup.
  • Jedrzejczyk’s last three fights were Zhang Weili (loss – split decision), Michelle Waterson (win – unanimous decision) and Valentina Shevchenko (loss – unanimous decision).

Prediction: Joanna Jedrzejczyk (+145); OVER 2.5 (-270)

Rogerio Bontorin vs Manel Kape Odds & Pick

Rogerio Bontorin vs Manel Kape Odds
FighterOdds
Rogerio Bontorin+180
Manel Kape-230

Manel Kape (-230) eyes a third straight win as he takes on struggling fellow flyweight Rogério Bontorin (+180).

Bontorin: Need To Knows
  • It has been a tough two years for Bontorin, who looks to Saturday’s clash riding a four-fight winless streak, capped by a heartbreaking split-decision loss to Brandon Royval at UFC Vegas 46.
  • Despite his recent woes, Bontorin remained dominant on the mat against Royval, executing eight takedowns and compiling 7:41 of control, but he has been badly outclassed in striking by each of his past four opponents.
  • Bontorin’s last three fights were Brandon Royval (loss – split decision), Matt Schnell (no contest) and Kai Kara-France (loss – KO punches).
Kape: Need To Knows
  • Since losing by decision in his first two UFC appearances, Kape has rebounded with a pair of ferocious first-round knockout wins over Ode’ Osbourne and Zhalgas Zhumagulov.
  • Now ranked No. 14 among UFC flyweights, the former Rizin bantamweight has seen each of his past five wins come by KO/TKO, and he has avoided being finished in 10 fights since 2017.
  • Kape will appear at UFC 275 despite producing an atypical drug test finding last month that forces him to undergo six more months of drug testing before being granted a license in Nevada.
  • Kape’s last three fights were Zhalgas Zhumagulov (win - KO punches), Ode’ Osbourne (win – KO knee & punches) and Matheus Nicolau (loss – split decision).

Prediction: Manel Kape (-240); OVER 2.5 (+110)

Jack Della Maddalena-155
Ramazan Emeev+125

Jack Della Maddalena (-155) vies for a 12th straight win and third victory in as many Octagon appearances. Fellow welterweight Ramazan Emeev (+125) is on the rebound after dropping a split decision to Danny Roberts at UFC Vegas 40 that was his second defeat in four outings.

Maddalena: Need To Knows
  • Maddalena has cemented his reputation as a power puncher with nine KO/TKO victories during his current 11-0-0 run.
  • The 25-year-old Australian is now undefeated since Sportsbook his pro MMA career in Eternal MMA with speedy back-to-back losses.
  • Maddalena’s last three fights were Pete Rodriguez (win – TKO punches), Ange Loosa (win – unanimous decision) and Aldin Bates (win – KO punch).
Emeev: Need To Knows
  • A former M-1 Global middleweight champion, Emeev has seen each of his past eight fights go a full three rounds.
  • Emeev fell to Danny Roberts in his last outing despite holding the edge in takedowns, control, strikes, significant strikes and striking accuracy.
  • Emeev’s last three fights were Danny Roberts (loss – split decision), David Zawada (win – split decision) and Niklas Stolze (win – unanimous decision).

Prediction: Ramazan Emeev (+125); OVER 2.5 (-220)
