Boxing Betting Odds: June Preview

June is offering boxing betting fans some great options on some current and former legends of the sport. Boxing odds are available on champs like Manny Pacquiao and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., as well as on veterans Winky Wright and Antonio Tarver.

On June 2 former undisputed World Light Middleweight champion Wright will be looking to right a ship that has produced two straight losses. Now 40 years old, Wright is past his prime and is currently handicapped at Sportsbook as a +450 underdog against undefeated up-and-comer Peter Quillin.

If Quillin can handle the step up in competition he is currently coming at a Sportsbook boxing odds price of -600. He will bring big power, having won 20 of his 26 fights via knockout, and should be too much for the aging Wright to handle.

On June 9 Pacquiao will defend his WBO Welterweight title against undefeated WBO Light Welterweight champion Timothy Bradley. As expected Pacquiao is a big favorite, but at the current Sportsbook price of -450 he’s more than affordable.

If you think that Bradley can end Pacquiao’s 15-fight win streak he will currently pay +360 at Sportsbook. Bradley is coming off an impressive TKO win over Joel Casamayor last November but will be facing his toughest test to date in Pacquiao. A victory would be a major windfall for Bradley, so he will be looking to take advantage of this opportunity.

Later in the month on June 16 WBC Middleweight champion Chavez Jr. will defend his title against Andy Lee. Chavez is currently a reasonable -390 favorite at Sportsbook against an opponent who is taking a big step up in competition.

Lee should probably be worth a little more than the current Sportsbook +320 underdog price - especially against an undefeated champion who’s in the prime of his career and fighting in front of loyal fans.
