WrestleMania 35 Betting Odds Released: Becky is the Favorite

Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair will main event Wrestlemania in a Triple Threat Match

Thirty-five years of WrestleMania. It’s been quite a wild ride for fans of professional wrestling. Some of my favorites? Well, I’m glad you asked:

Macho Man vs Ricky Steamboat WrestleMania 3, Ultimate Warrior vs Hulk Hogan WrestleMania 6, Steve Austin vs Bret Hart WrestleMania 13, Hulk Hogan vs The Rock WrestleMania 18, Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels WrestleMania 24, Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar WrestleMania 30. And that’s just scratching the surface.

This year we will see the first-ever women’s main event as Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair will fight in a triple threat match for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Below, you can find the breakdown of the betting odds that have been released so far.

Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey (C) vs Charlotte Flair

WWE writers have been setting up this match for months and it looks like they are creating a space for Ronda Rousey to take an extended, if not permanent leave from the company. Rousey is on record as saying the demands of the travel and WWE lifestyle are counter to where she is in her life as she and husband Travis Browne are looking to start a family.

Lynch is the betting favorite to get her WrestleMania moment and win this match, however, I’m hesitant to believe that is going to happen. At -350, I’m certainly not taking Becky and I’m already inclined to believe that Charlotte will get the win in this spot.

Why do I think that? Charlotte is Ric Flair’s daughter. You can only have one “first” women’s main event at WrestleMania. Ric Flair is in failing health and I think Vince and Hunter will want to give him this moment. Fair? No. But it’s very WWE.

Women’s Championship - Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey (C) vs Charlotte Flair

Odds as of April 7 at BetOnline

  • Becky Lynch        -350
  • Ronda Rousey    +375
  • Charlotte Flair     +400

Brock Lesnar (C) vs Seth Rollins

Will WWE FINALLY take the belt away from a part-time – scratch that – casual/call-in champion? I don’t know. We have been expecting a Lesnar return to UFC for months, but he re-upped his contract after Survivor Series, so anything is possible from that real-life storyline perspective.

Opening betting odds had Seth Rollins as a -250 favorite to win the match at WrestleMania but the line has moved to -160 for Rollins while the Beast is paying +120.

Universal Championship - Brock Lesnar (C) vs Seth Rollins

Odds as of April 7 at BetOnline

  • Brock Lesnar     +120
  • Seth Rollins        -160

AJ Styles vs Randy Orton

Styles vs Orton should be a really well-worked late-card match with two wrestling veterans. I don’t think there will be much storyline build for this one other than a mano-a-mano, I’m-better-than-you feud. It could go either way, so I’m cool with taking the underdog value on the Phenomenal 1.
