We've got Kansas City Chiefs teammates Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce taking on the NBA's splash brothers, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. The Thompson-Curry pairing is favored across sportsbooks, sitting as -300 favorites to win The Match 8.

We don't have much to go on for this quad's golfing talent. But, the few bits of info we do have all point to Curry being the runaway best player.
The Warriors point guard finished 16th at last year's American Century Pro-Am, while Mahomes and Kelce both finished outside the top 50. Earlier this year, Curry said he has a +1 handicap, which lines up with his production at the Pro-Am and will make him easily the most talented golfer at The Match.
The big wildcard here is obviously Klay. There are some reports out there he as a 15 handicap, which isn't too shabby, but he could hold back his teammate if he's much worse than that.
Unless Klay screws us over, I think Steph can carry this pairing to an easy victory.
Rules & Format
The Match 8 is expected to be a 12-hole match play format, but the specific rules have yet to be officially announced. However, previous editions have gone with best ball or scramble formats.

The Wynn Las Vegas championship length course sits as a par 70 with 6,772 total yards. It's hard to know exactly how the course will play, as the pairs will only compete on 12 of the 18 holes. The Wynn course has 'two marshland areas' with lakes and meandering streams on 12 of the course's 18 holes. So, if Kelce misfires wide right, he may get wet.
