The Match 6 Odds: Rodgers, Brady, Allen, Mahomes

The sixth edition of The Match is set and we’ve got an all-NFL quarterback cast for the latest golf showcase.

With no pro golfers taking part this year, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes will take on the veterans in Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady in this year’s celebrity golf match.

Brady and Rodgers are the favorites across sportsbooks, including -180 favorites at [ol-sportsbook-bp:48:Bovada:26:Bodog]. A -180 line gives us an implied odds probability of 64.29 percent that Brady/Rodgers will win The Match 6.

Who Will Win: The Match 6 Odds

Odds To Win The Match 6
Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes+150
Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers-180

Odds as of May 31 at [ol-sportsbook-bp:48:Bovada:26:Bodog]

Best Bet: Allen/Mahomes

Sure, the vets have the experience (both on the football field and on the golf course), but this plus money is too good to pass up.

Brady may be a proven winner in the NFL, but he’s never won The Match event, falling to Rodgers and Bryson DeChambeau in 2021 and to Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning in 2020.

The best place for us to gauge the talent in this field is the annual American Century Championship celebrity golf event. Rodgers has consistently topped Mahomes in the event, but they both consistently finish in the range of 15th to 30th. The slight edge to Rodgers might not be enough to make up for the potential skill disparity between Allen and Brady. It’s not often Brady drags his team down in any sport, but TB12 could cost Rodgers a W at The Match.

Rules & Format

While previous iterations of The Match used alternate shot formats, with all four golfers on a similar skill level The Match 6 will use a 12-hole “shamble” format.

Shamble is a modified scramble format where teams use their best drive and then play out the rest of the hole themselves, helping avoid large delays to look for all the shanked drives in the rough and woods.

The lowest score from each pairing will count on each hole, and the team with the most holes won after 12 wins.
