MLB HR Props May 23

MLB Home Run Props For May 23: Gunnar Goes Long

Let's get back at it today with more MLB home run prop winners.

I'm trying a new strategy today, taking one player to hit a homer and one player not to. My HR fade may not be the most profitable pick in the world, but I'm pretty darn confident in it.

I've got a pair of homer picks for tonight's games, so follow along for my two home run prop bets for May 23rd:

Pick 1: Gunnar Henderson To Homer (+240)

Orioles vs White Sox Matchup Preview - Game Time: 7:40 pm ET

Gunnar Henderson is about as hot as they come right now. The Orioles infielder has seven hits (five for extra-bases) and four homers in his last 22 at-bats. Over the last week of games, he’s rocking a cool 1.399 OPS.

He faces White Sox starter Mike Clevinger today, who owns a 5.56 ERA on the season and has allowed a homer in each of his past two games. Even if Clevinger doesn’t go deep in this game, I still like Henderson’s chances to homer late. The White Sox bullpen has allowed the fifth-most homers in baseball so far this season (24).

If you’re buying Henderson to homer, you should probably also get in on the Orioles moneyline. Baltimore is 13-3 in games where Gunnar goes yard. The O’s are -240 to win today, on the moneyline.

Pick 2: Gleyber Torres NOT to homer (-1500)

Mariners vs Yankees Matchup Preview - Game Time: 12:35 pm ET

At -1500, this is kind of a meme pick. But, I'm pretty darn confident Gleyber won't be up to much today.

Torres is hitless in 11 career at-bats against his opponent tonight, Seattle starter Luis Castillo. He’s got five strikeouts in those 11 ABs, too.

Castillo has also only allowed two homers in his last four outings.

The Seattle bullpen has also been great at keeping the ball in the yard, allowing the second-fewest homers this season (14).
