The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers survived the Tricky Triangle last week in the Pocono 400 and now head to Michigan International Speedway for the FireKeepers Casino 400. Kevin Harvick won the last race at Michigan and you can find him second on the oddsboard at +500, but fresh off his fourth win of the season is Kyle Busch as the favorite at +275.
Sportsbook has Busch as the favorite at +275 followed by Harvick at +500, Martin Truex Jr. at +600, Brad Keselowski at +650, Chase Elliott and Joey Logano at +1000, Kyle Larson at +1200, Denny Hamlin at +1600, and Ryan Blaney and Clint Bowyer at +2000 to round out the top 10 drivers on the oddsboard.
Standout Stats
- Chevrolet has won six of the last 10 races at Michigan, with Ford winning three of the remaining four and Toyota driving to victory lane just once over the last 10.
- The Sportsbook has qualified in the top three in six of the last 11 runnings at this track, with five of those Sportsbooks qualifying on the pole.
- Kyle Larson was the last driver to win back-to-back races at Michigan when he won three in a row, the first in 2016 followed by the two races in 2017.
- Clint Bowyer won the June race at Michigan last year but has finished outside of the top 10 in eight of the last 10 races at this track. He has finished in the top five just two times over his 26 Michigan starts.
- Kyle Busch has just one win at Michigan and it came in August 2011. He finished in the top five in both races last year but landed outside of the top five in the nine runnings prior.
- Kyle Larson has led at least one lap in seven of his 10 career starts at this track and won three straight races there in 2016 and 2017. That being said, last year he finished 28th and 17th in the two races at Michigan.
- Joey Logano has finished inside the top 10 in 11 of the last 12 races, including two victories and five top-five finishes. He has led just one lap over the last four runnings at this track.
- Kevin Harvick has had a lot of success at Michigan, winning the most recent race last August, and has finished on the podium in seven of the last 12 runnings at this track. Harvick hasn’t looked like himself this year and has failed to pick up a checkered flag so I’m still in fade mode, especially at second on the oddsboard, until he breaks through.
- Brad Keselowski has finished ninth or better in eight of the last 10 races at Michigan, including three podium finishes, and wound up being the runner-up to Harvick last August. He has led multiple laps at this track in 10 of the last 14 races at Michigan.
My Best Bet for the FireKeepers Casino 400

A track similar to Atlanta and Kansas, fast-paced longer tracks, Michigan was built for Keselowski to perform well at. Ford has had a lot of speed in the 1.5-mile tracks and I expect them to be quick at the two-mile track as well. Keselowski is from Michigan and has yet to win in his home state, but he has been in contention frequently and I think this is the time he breaks through.
