Stephen Curry #30 of the Golden State Warriors looks on prior to game three of the NBA Western Conference Finals against the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center on May 18, 2019 in Portland, Oregon.

Warriors Have Fifth Straight Trip to NBA Finals in Sight

The Golden State Warriors have made a habit of going on second-half surges over the years, and the Western Conference finals haven’t been any different. Holding a 3-0 series lead, the Warriors will be looking to knock the Portland Trail Blazers out of the playoffs in Game 4 tonight. Sportsbooks opened the Dubs as 3.5-point road favorites with a total of 219.5.

Standout Stats

  • The Warriors trailed by as many as 18 points late in the second quarter of Game 3 and went into the half down 66-53 before outscoring the Trail Blazers 29-13 in the third quarter en route to a 110-99 triumph.
  • Portland has had its chances in this series. The Blazers, who squandered a 15-point halftime advantage in Game 2, totaled only 33 points in the second half of Game 3 as their offense continued to struggle.
  • Warriors power forward Draymond Green scored a playoff-high 20 points to go along with 13 rebounds and 12 assists in his third triple-double of the postseason. Stephen Curry poured in a game-high 36 points to reach 30 for the fourth time in as many games since Kevin Durant went down with a calf injury.
  • The Trail Blazers once again failed to cover the +3 spread in front of their hometown fans in Game 3. The Blazers are 1-4 ATS in their last five home contests.
  • Game 3 went UNDER, but these teams have a history of going OVER when playing in Oregon. In the past 14 meetings between the Warriors and Trail Blazers at Moda Center, the OVER is 11-3.

My Best Bet for Warriors-Trail Blazers

Warriors -3.5

In the NBA it’s a foregone conclusion how the series is going to unfold when one team goes up 3-0, and the Warriors have simply been too much for the Trail Blazers from Game 1 until now. I think Portland will give it a spirited effort but won’t be able to get the job done in Game 4. Take the Warriors on the spread.

The OVER is 11-3 in the Warriors’ last 14 meetings with the Trail Blazers in Portland. The Trail Blazers are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games.home The Warriors are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games following an ATS win.away
