Apparently, the Golden State Warriors did not take kindly to losing Game 3 of last year’s Western Conference semi-finals to the Portland Trail Blazers. Ever since that loss, the Warriors have won eight-straight against the Blazers while posting an average scoring margin of plus-16.3 points per game.
The Warriors cruised to an 110-81 victory in Game 2, which should be greatly concerning for Blazers fans considering Kevin Durant didn’t play and both the Splash Brothers weren’t exactly shooting the lights out. Instead, it was the Warriors depth that ultimately won the game with JaVale McGree and Ian Clark coming off the bench and causing all kinds of trouble.
If Portland wants to climb back into this series they need to start hitting the three-point shot. The Blazers finished sixth in the NBA during the regular season but are hitting a measly 28.1 percent during the postseason. A lot of that is on Damian Lillard who has gone from a 37 percent three-point shooter to 23.1 percent in the playoffs.
