A Game 2 loss to the Miami Heat on Wednesday may have hurt the casual fan's confidence in Boston going all the way, but it didn't deter oddsmakers in the slightest bit. The team remains at +115 odds despite losing at home despite being the 14.5-point favorites.
Once listed as the -100000 favorites to win the series, the odds have since plummeted to -2500. Many anticipated the Celtics steamrolling their way through the Eastern Conference, which still very well may be the case, but defeats like that do a lot of harm to the aura of the Association's most dominant squad.
Two in a row: Denver Nuggets, +210
Denver emerged with its 11th-straight victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena, pushing the Lakers to the brink of elimination. No team in league history has ever overcome an 0-3 series deficit before, and considering it's been since December 2022 that LeBron James and company last defeated the reigning titleholders, that streak isn't going to come to an end here.

The last team to win consecutive championships was the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018. That capped off a 10-year run in which only five different teams (Warriors, Lakers, Mavericks, Cavaliers, and Spurs) won a title.
