South Carolina vs Miss State betting

Coming off a crazy comeback overtime victory over a top-five team on the road the 6-2 South Carolina Gamecocks now take on 4-3 Mississippi State this Saturday for Homecoming in Columbia (12:20 pm ET, ESPN3).

The 'Cocks just rallied from down 17-0 in the fourth quarter at then-No. 5 Missouri Saturday to escape with a 27-24 victory, with help from a botched Tigers field goal that would have forced a third OT.

So the Gamecocks are in second place in the SEC East, but own the head-to-head tie-breaker over first-place Mizzou.

In the early wagering South Carolina, which is only 3-5 ATS this season, was favored by 13 points over the Bulldogs, who are 0-3 ATS over their last three games.

“The Bulldogs haven’t won much as a road underdog, as their 2-7 ATS run proves,” said Jack Randall.

Backers of the Gamecocks have seen them go 6-2 and 3-5 ATS so far this season, while the Bulldogs are at 4-3 and 3-4 ATS. In totals betting, the Bulldogs are 3-4, while the Gamecocks are 4-4. The past four meetings of these SEC rivals played UNDER the total.
