Georgia Tech Looking For Back-To-Back Upset Wins

When the Yellow Jackets fell into an early 17-0 hole as 21.5-point underdogs on the road against the North Carolina Tar Heels, it looked as though they were well on their way to another blowout loss in conference  play.

Instead, Georgia Tech shocked the college football world by scoring three unanswered touchdowns en route to a 21-17 upset win. Hassan Hall, Taisun Phommachanh and Dontae Smith all rushed for touchdowns in the win as the team came together for 186 rushing yards on 49 carries.

Georgia Tech was 1-3 SU and ATS over its previous four games prior to the win over North Carolina. The Yellow Jackets have been a solid underdog on the road this season, going 4-1 ATS and scoring outright upsets over the Pittsburgh Panthers, Virginia Tech Hokies and North Carolina.

Georgia Fell Flat On Offense Against Kentucky

In an uncharacteristically poor game on offense, the Bulldogs managed to score only 16 points on the road against the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday despite closing as 22.5-point favorites in that matchup.

Georgia managed to avoid an upset, however, with an outstanding game on defense, holding Kentucky to only six points in the 16-6 win. Kenny McIntosh was the lone bright spot on offense for the Bulldogs with 143 rushing yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

Georgia ranks seventh in the nation in total offense with 496.3 yards per game and 11th in scoring by averaging 38.4 points per game. The Bulldogs averaged 42.2 points per game over a 4-1 ATS run right before the low-scoring win over Kentucky. The offense will need to get rolling again to cover this big spread against Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech: Keys to Win

Georgia Tech has one of the worst offenses in the nation, averaging only 17.5 points per game, and will be going up against one of the most elite defenses in the country on Saturday. Any chance at a competitive game and success as a Georgia Tech vs Georgia prediction will need to come from a great game on defense.

Georgia: Keys to Win

Georgia has beaten Georgia Tech by 45 points in each of their last two meetings and has won its 11 games this season by an average of 27.3 points. The Bulldogs have all the tools to win and cover as a Georgia Tech vs Georgia prediction; it will just take some focus and good execution to cover this huge spread.
