Florida Will Be Severely Undermanned Vs Michigan

One of the marquee matchups of the college football Sportsbook week sees the Michigan Wolverines and Florida Gators face off. However, the Gators will be without 10 suspended players due to an investigation surrounding a debit card scam. These suspensions including last season's leading receiver in Antonio Callaway and leading rusher Jordan Scarlett.

Shark Bites
  • Florida is 12-0 SU in its last 12 games in Week 1.
  • The total has gone OVER in 17 of Michigan’s last 21 games.
  • Wilton Speight threw 3 TDs to 4 INTs in his final 3 games last season.

Florida returns a healthy amount of an offense that finished 108th in the country in 2016. Who plays quarterback is anyone’s guess with head coach Jim McElwain saying that we may see Luke Del Rio, Malik Zaire and Feleipe Franks take the field in this one. Franks has been named the starter but that doesn't mean all that much considering how undermanned the offense will be.

Michigan returns fewer starters than any other team in the FBS this season. The mass exodus was especially felt on defense after losing the likes of Jabrill Peppers, Taco Charlton and Chris Wormley. Head coach Jim Harbaugh and defensive coordinator Don Brown are two of the best defensive minds in the game but replacing that many great players isn’t going to be a quick fix.

UPDATE: Florida coach Jim McElwain announced Wednesday that starting RB Jordan Scarlett and WR Rick Wells have been suspended from all team activities.
