CBS sportscaster and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo declared Sunday’s Super Bowl “one of the greatest matchups in sports history,” with the QB duel of Brady vs Mahomes akin to LeBron James facing Michael Jordan in the NBA Finals.
“This game is bigger than people realize,” Romo said. “Twenty, 30, 40, 50 years from now, this is the game people are going to go back to.” Another example, Romo said, would be Tiger Woods battling it out against Jack Nicklaus in a golf tournament when both were in their prime.
Brady, 43, will be looking to pad his Super Bowl stats and cement himself as the greatest quarterback of all time. The 25-year-old Mahomes, whose father is only five years older than Brady, is heading into what’s likely going to go down as the biggest game of his career with the opportunity to get one over on Brady.
