c: philip danault vs anaheim

One of the NHL’s best shut down centres, Danault is a pest to play against. Either it’s his uncanny ability to win draws or his effort on the defensive side, the 31-year-old will make sure it’s a tough night for the opposing teams top players.

Slotted in the Kings second line, Danault has been able to show a bit more of his offensive side in this elevated role in the lineup. Currently with 32 points on the year, the Canadian is on pace for a respectable 48 points. Danault is even getting some touches on the Kings' second powerplay unit, sitting in front of the net. So one way or another, Danault will find a way to put the fantasy points up for you.

C: joel eriksson ek vs seattle

The Wild’s top center has been on a tear lately. Looming at 6-foot-2, he has been putting all his tools together. Currently riding a seven game point streak, Eriksson Ek has pocketed 14 points in that stretch, including a crazy six point night where he potted three goals and three assists.

Currently with 53 points on the year, the Swede is on pace for 76 points --which would be a career high. Playing alongside Kaprizov and Boldy, the line has been a force every night. Eriksson Ek is also riding shotgun on the team's first powerplay unit. With his big frame and quick hands, he is efficient in front of the net by tipping or jamming pucks in. Eriksson Ek has averaged a ridiculous 21.58 fantasy points in his last five outings.

W: mathieu joseph vs vegas

One of the faster players in the NHL, Joseph is hard to miss. Currently skating on the Sens' first line with Stützle and Giroux, Joseph has been given a chance to prove himself offensively and he has ceased the opportunity with four points in his last four games.

Even with no powerplay minutes, the 27-year-old is a major factor on the penalty kill. Using his speed and defensive awareness, Joseph is quick to break up the opposing teams set up and clear the puck. Joseph is a bargain at only $3,700 and in his last four games he has averaged 15.35 fantasy points.

W: william nylander vs colorado

Nylander has exploded on the scene and has established himself as one of the elite NHL players. His great play this year earned him the biggest total value contract in Leafs history at $92-million across eight years. That investment looks like it will be paying off in the future as Nylander currently is rocking a six game point streak, boasting with 14 points in his last 10 meetings.

The Swede is in pace for 109 points, which would be a career high. Skating with Bertuzzi and Domi, the trio has found an instant connection on the ice. Tipping the scales at $8,300, Nylander will pay back the investment as he averages 16.9 fantasy points per game.

W: troy terry vs lA

One of the few bright spots on the lonely Ducks, Terry has been solid this year as the Anaheim continue its rebuild. With 14 points in his last 10 games, the 26-year-old is continuing to grow and currently has 45 points -- putting him in pace to tie a career high 67 points.

Terry won’t break the bank at only $5,300 to the cap and he rewards you with around 10.2 fantasy points per game.

d: charlie mcAvoy vs vancouver

The Bruins top defenseman has been reliable on the blue line for the team all year. Carrying the load offensively and defensively, McAvoy does it all for the Bruins and plays a major role in the teams success.

If it’s putting up points, laying huge hits, blocking shots or shutting down the opposing teams first line, the 26-year-old is well-rounded. McAvoy quarterbacks the Bruins first powerplay unit which includes sniper Pastrnak and captain Marchand. In his last five games, McAvoy has averaged 13.5 fantasy points.

D: ryan mcDonagh vs san jose

Not the most offensive guy around, McDonagh will lead his team in many other ways. Playing alongside veteran d-partner Schenn, McDonagh plays tough hard minutes against the other teams tops players. The 34-year-old has been solid lately, with seven points in his last 10 games. McDonagh is great value at only $3,500 for his veteran presence.

G: marc-andre fleury vs seattle

A beloved NHL goalie, Fleury is still kicking it at the age of 39 and he is showing that he’s still got it. Second in all time wins at 554, Fleury still has that passion to keep driving to try and win another Stanley Cup. On the year, the former Vezina Trophy winner is 11-10-3 with a 2.96 GAA and a .897SV%. With the Wild surging, Fleury will be dialLed in trying to help them secure another victory.

At $7,400 to the cap, Fleury is a cheaper option to keep your cap down but still give you a chance at some fantasy points.

UTIL: Gustav Nyquist vs San jose

A big addition in the off season for the Predators, Nyquist has not disappointed with 43 points so far on the season. A very reliable winger on the first powerplay unit, using his one timer effectively. Nyquist is more than a bargain at only $4,200 against your cap and will reward you back with around 8.4 fantasy points per game.
