c: wyatt Johnston vs LA

The second year forward has been a revelation for the Stars this season. Coming off a solid rookie campaign, Johnston has elevated his game and is showing he will be an elite scorer in the NHL. Currently with 52 points on the year, the 20-year-old is on pace for 30 goals and 63 points.

Heating up lately, Johnston has 13 points in his last 10 outings. His offensive instincts on the second powerplay unit generates many chances for the Stars. On the year, Johnston has averaged 10.4 fantasy points per game. But, in his last five he has averaged a whopping 23 fantasy points.

C: Nathan MacKinnon vs Edmonton

The league's scoring leader is on fire, riding a 14-game point streak where he’s piled on 30 points. His 115 points so far puts him on pace for a career high 140 points and his insane 42 goals on the season also puts him on pace for a career-high with 51 goals.

The Avs first powerplay unit goes directly through MacKinnon, who is on his one timer side and unleashes some cannons. MacKinnon breaks the bank at $10,500 but he is worth the splurge averaging 21.2 fantasy points per game. In his last five meetings, Mackinnon has averaged a ridiculous 30 fantasy points.

W: Brandon Hagel vs Florida

Hagel is a player any team would love to have as he is tenacious on the puck and willing to block shots and make necessary hits. With 61 points in the year, Hagel is on pace for a career high 76 points.

Skating on the first line alongside Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov, the Canadian has fit right in. Playing alongside two big scorers like that makes Hagel a good pick to get a few points each night.

W: Adrian Kempe vs Dallas

The flying winger, Kempe is a dominant force every night for the Kings. With 55 points so far on the season, Kempe is on pace for a career high 70 points. He inflates his stats lately with 10 points in his last 10 games.

Getting plenty of opportunity, Kempe is skating on the LA's first line alongside Quinton Byfield and Anze Kopitar.  At $6,100 to the cap, the Swede is a great add who will get you around 12 fantasy points per game.

W: Gustav Nyquist vs Seattle

Nyquist is a veteran presence currently having his best offensive year with 58 points thus far. The Swede has recorded 15 points in his last 10 games, staying very reliable in his own end and killing penalties.

His hockey intuition and great passing ability make him a threat out there.  In his last five games, Nyquist has averaged 13.2 fantasy points.

d: Bowen byram vs detroit

Since his trade to Buffalo, Byram has been a bonus for his new team. With fove points in first four games with the sabres, Byram has fit right in and has hit the ground running. Playing on the first D-pairing alongside Rasmus Dahlin, the pair have seen major minutes.

With the move to the Sabres he’s been given a larger role than he has in Colorado and he’s definitely taking advantage of it. Byram will set you back only $4,000 and in his last five he has averaged 12.9 fantasy points.

D: sean walker vs edmonton

A steady defenseman that plays big minutes against the oppositions best players, Walker is a well-rounded player. Just traded to Colorado, the 29-year-old will look to show his new team what he’s got and to fit into that dynamic Avs system.

Walker is on pace for a career high 28 points this season and will get you fantasy points in many different ways, from blocked shots to hits. He has collected decent numbers for a player who doesn’t get put in the most offensive situations.

G: david rittich vs dallas

Starting off as the Kings third goalie this season, Rittich has solidified himself and has sturdy for LA by helping the group get wins when they needed it most. A veteran goalie with a lot of experience, the 31-year-old carries a 10-4-3 record so far. Rittich is also rocking a 2.19 GAA and a .919SV% with 2 shutouts. The Czech won’t set you back too bad at only $7,200 and will pocket you around 13.1 fantasy points per game.

UTIL: Michael carcone vs new jersey

Carcone paid his dues and battled his way up to the NHL. Finally getting a full opportunity this year in Arizona, the Canadian has taken full advantage with 19 goals and 27 points. A hard worker who battles for every inch on the ice, Carcone is a great add to your line up.

On the Coyotes 3rd line alongside Alex Kerfoot and Matias Maccelli, the 27-year-old has looked dangerous every night. At only $3,100 to the cap, Carcone is a good player to keep you under budget.
