c: matt duchene vs anaheim
A reliable player, Matt Duchene has gotten the job done in the NHL for years. The 33-year-old isn't slowing down and stays a speedy center creating offensive chances, but still maintaining composure defensively.
Duchene has 42 points in 46 games, which puts him on pace for 74 points and what would be his second-best offensive outing in his career. Only going for $5,700 against the cap, Duchene averages a solid 10.4 fantasy points per game.
C: dmitry voronkov vs calgary
A fairly unknown rookie, Voronkov has definitely excelled this year. With 23 points in 40 games, the 23-year-old can clutch a respectable 44 points in his first year in the NHL. With his 6-foot-5 frame, Voronkov is always dishing out hits on the forecheck and blocking shots in the defensive zone -- clearly, he knows his strengths. At $3,000 but averaging 7.2 fantasy points per game, he is a key player in keeping your cap down but projections up.
W: mat barzal vs montreal
On pace for 84 points, Barzal has rediscovered his rookie form where he found himself winning the Calder Trophy a notching 85 points. After a few years since being plagued by injury, the 26-year-old is back to his skilled puck-carrying and making defenders look silly. With 11 points in his last 10 outings, Barzal will hope to continue and impress new head coach Patrick Roy, who has already cemented himself as a hard-nosed, no-nonsense coach.

W: matias maccelli vs tampa bay
A young, talented player, Maccelli gets closer and closer to reaching his ceiling. With a $4,000 cap hit, Maccelli has 32 points this season, which is some top value.
W: joe pavelski vs anaheim
Regardless of age, Pavelski gets it done time and time again. At 39 years old, Pavelski stays fresh. He's never been known as the fastest skater, but instead relies on his quick offensive instincts and wicked ability to tip pucks in front of the net. With 42 points, he is on pace for 33 goals and 73 points. Somehow, Pavelski is aging like fine wine.
d: evan bouchard vs chicago
After trading Tyson Barrie last season, Edmonton gave Bouchard a chance at running the Oilers' top powerplay unit and he definitely flourished. Flash forward to this year and that continues. Currently carrying 42 points in 43 games, Bouchard is an offensive juggernaut. Playing alongside the unstoppable McDavid and Draisaitl, Bouchard is almost guaranteed to earn at least an assist every night. At a steep $7,100 against the cap, Bouchard makes up for it by averaging a solid 13 fantasy points per game.

D: jamie drysdale vs detroit
Lost in all the Cutter, Gauthier drama, Drysdale was the player going the other way in the trade to Philadelphia. Drysdale's play in his first six games with the Flyers has definitely made the fans and management feel better about the big loss of their top prospect, Gauthier, not wanting to play for them. Drysdale averages 8.4 fantasy points per game.
G: semyon varlamov vs montreal
After saying he had goosebumps when the Islanders hired Roy, Varlamov will be making his first start under the new bench boss tonight. Sporting a 6-4-2 record on the year, Varlamov is a solid backup as he rocks a 2.78 GAA and .918SV%. At only $7,600 to the cap, he is one of the cheaper goalies on the books. Varlamov is averaging 14.9 fantasy points per game.

"Not going to lie, I had goosebumps. It's great..."
UTIL: joel farabee vs detroit
Farabee has been one of the catalysts for the Flyers shockingly good start to the season. Under John Tortorella, Farabee has developed into a noble two-way player. It's not always the easiest of jobs for a young guy to fit into a Tortorella system, just ask Pierre-Luc Dubois. The fifth-year Flyer currently has 40 points in 48 games and is on pace for a career-high 68 points. Farabee has been hot of late with 11 points in his last 10 games.
