NHL Expert Picks: Sharks Win Over Ducks Tonight

While some teams have already hit the beach as the NHL's All-Star break gets underway, another few squads are still out there battling for points.

Tonight is the last night of games before the ASG break, so let's make a few picks, shall we?

Pick 1: UNDER 7 (-125)
The Game: Ottawa Senators vs Detroit Red Wings, 7 PM ET

This year, when the total is set at seven goals the Red Wings always hit the UNDER with a 0-3 record. For the entire league that record - against a total of seven goals - is 22-32-12. In fact, in the last four games league-wide where the total was set at seven goals, the UNDER hit in all four.

With guys' minds on taking a vacation soon, I'm sure the total goes UNDER tonight.

Pick 2: Predators ML (+102)
The Game: Los Angeles Kings vs Nashville Predators, 7:30 PM ET

The Kings stink. They have two wins in 16 games (six of those coming in extra time). But for some reason, they're favored tonight?! I get that LA is good on the road with a 14-6-4 record, but five of those regulation losses and three of those overtime losses have come in their last 10 road games. They stink and I'm taking the Preds.

Pick 3: Sharks ML (+154)
The Game: San Jose Sharks vs Anaheim Ducks, 10:30 PM ET

This might come back to...bite me, but I'm betting on the San Jose Sharks straight up tonight.

I get they're the worst team in the league and that they're on the second leg of a back-to-back. But look, the Sharks have done surprisingly well in that situation with a 3-4 record. And it's not as if the Ducks are great on the road. They've been awful away from home going 2-5SU in their last seven games.
