Same-Game Parlay Leg 1: Oilers ML
In our expert picks today I took the Oilers on the moneyline. So I'm not about to change that now. My justification for that was the Kings' inability to bounce back from a big loss. When losing by three or more goals, LA is 5-6SU this year but of those five wins, four came against teams that didn't make the postseason. So take those wins with a grain of salt.
Same-Game Parlay Leg 2: Oilers P1 -0.5 Puckline
In their last seven meetings, the Oilers have covered a -0.5 puckline against the Kings four times. That full record is 4-1-2, nearly 60%. At home, Edmonton has covered a first-period -0.5 puckline seven times.
They've already got LA on the ropes mentally. Have a strong first period and they'll have effectively taken them out of the game and heading for a 2-0 record.
Same-Game Parlay Leg 3: OVER 6
We saw the total easily eclipse six goals in Game 1. So will it do so again in Game 2? Why not!
With 11 goals scored even a slight offensive slowdown will see this total hit. In Game 1, both sides exceeded their expected goals for the day with +1.92 for Edmonton and +0.47 for LA. So we're not talking about sides that got too lucky. There's an easy chance for this to repeat.
Specifically with goalies Cam Talbot and Stuart Skinner not being particularly good of late. Talbot is 2-3-0 and averaging a 0.874SV% and a 4.37GAA. Meanwhile, Skinner is 3-2-0 with an equally poor 0.887SV% and 3.02GAA.
We're seeing the OVER again tonight.
